RE: Top XXXX number of players on a big screen

@Falador-de-bosta Your reading comprehension is pretty bad. I said dps meters could offer motivation/reasons to optimize gear, nobody is holding a gun to your head telling you to do x-amounts of damage. Different classes in pso2 accel in different environments therefore you cannout just ask for a certain amount of damage unlike games such as WoW. However personal feedback from a damage meter is important for lots of people. This is totally unrelated to the gear progression so idk what you are talking about. The current gear progression is just boring as hell and it is even worse than ult farming for nem/raven weapons (I can't believe I am saying this). Why would you waste hours upon hours of mindlessly grinding the same triggers for a weapon that you get for free in like 3 weeks and for what reason? Without dps meter nobodys knows your performance and you yourself can't objectively tell if the new weapon really helps a lot or if you are still getting carried.

RE: Top XXXX number of players on a big screen

If you want competition than add a damage meter to the game so people have a reason to min max their gear and learn fights. This literally works in any other mmo I have played but for some reason people in pso2 always focus on the negative aspects of dps meters like elitsm or toxicity. I have never had any bad experiences in any mmo concerning dps meters, but the amount of feedback is just incredible motivating for some players. The core problem of the game is that it has literally no content outside of a few 5min urgent quests. It doesn't help that they expect you to farm hundrets of the same mindless triggers for weapons or units when you get them for free a few weeks later. No content and bad gear progression lead to the universal consensus that there is nothing to do which is true. This is also the reason why I would call my ship dead. Everyone already left the game - friends - guildmembers etc. Inflation makes it hard to buy the amount of cosmetics compared to episode 3 where I would just farm some ult quests and sell nemesis weapons. Looking back that time felt way more rewarding than the current state, because you were able to get the BiS weapon fairly fast (drop or market), make decent meseta and just join a party and kill some time. That also made playing other classes more fun because I didn't need to use some bad collection folder weapons. I think I have never seen a game where upgradeable weapons(paths) worked.

RE: Gold sellers and RMTers are breaking the visiphone lol

"Can't this be tracked and ban the sellers too?" Yes it could. And they could have done a million things to prevent it to the current extent in the first place. Nothing gonna happen, move on.

RE: character creation question

@AndrlCh Ive been told way too many times that it was due to concerns about people deleting chars and getting free stuff every 24hrs so they decided to make a creation ticket. To be honest, I couldn't care less if it was either a pointless measure to stop inflation or just a greedy bastards move. I have never encountered such shameless business practices in any other mmo I have played.

RE: character creation question

Why exactly was this stupid char creation ticket in place? To reduce the amount of meseta from some dailies/weeklies? Works perfectly considering the current inflation thanks to all the bots. You could have just removed those meseta options and even though you would have less income, you could still buy more stuff because of a much better economy.

RE: gold sellers vs sega

I have no idea what I just read but I will say that it is not about opinion. Pso2 is objectively bad in lots of key areas and it is not a "my taste vs. your taste" thing. Funnily enough, if I have learnt only one thing about games where you can only communicate with some sort of third party (not talking about community managers and such more about the "dev is in JP, our version is handled by a different party") is that there will never be an open ear towards the community and any hope for needed changes. The US version was meant to be a cashgrab and publicity for NG thanks to MS - nothing more nothing less. What can you expect from such a game?

RE: gold sellers vs sega

Yes. Instead of naming a trash game that has even worse mechanics you could just name a better one. If people are fine with pso2 because they have played worse games in their life - fine. I have played so many good games with better systems in place in terms of montarization, itemization, graphics, endgame, community etc.etc. that i cannot recommend this game to anyone. So the only explanation I have for the white knighting of pso2 is that people never played any of the top mmos/multiplayer games out there. BTT: ever since the pc version was released there were tons of bots aggressively spamming and neither sega nor the people responsible for the US version did anything to fix that. Now we have hyper inflation and lots of players left (my server, guild and friendslist is dead). Everything went exactly as predicted on my part and ive moved on months ago. However I can still get some enjoyment out of this forum because of all the clueless people.

RE: gold sellers vs sega

I wouldn't buy from gold sellers, but I agree that sega doesn't deserve a cent for this game. But I like the generic "look at game X it is even worse" defense. People who played JP and now play the same cashgrab on US have accepted mediocrity a long time ago and I envy them for their low standards (no sarcasm).
