RE: Error 630 is killing this game, this needs fixing but probaly will not be.

This has been happening to me since may 6th. I get the error 630 in 5 hour intervals through out the day. This sucks but at least i can predict it after the first one. Ive been through 2 modems and routers trying different methods to resolve the issue. Ive also taken my isp to the woodshed as this is happening in a few other games as well. Apps that only use download like streaming services (netflix, disney+ and etc) are unaffected. Only apps that use upload bandwidth have the issue even though it doesnt effect everything i play. Your idea about the backbone is most likely the culprit. There was some reports this week about alot of DDOS attacks hitting the US that were effecting alot of isps and cell carriers (t-mobile, verizon and at&t). If this has been going on for a while to varying degrees i can see how some would have issues and some would not since all internet traffic does not take the same routes. Just my 2 cents.

Xbox one x here as well. Mine happens every 5 hours on the dot starting at 7 pm est ( I say starting cause I can't track it until after I get off work) . The next one happens at 12pm est and I imagine the next one would be 5am est and so on. On the bright side at least I know when they are going to happen.

I would recommend opening a support ticket as well. This was the response given to me about the issue.

Regarding this matter, it is already a known issue and we are currently doing everything to fix this as soon as possible to bring you the best experience in playing the game.

600 hrs here. It doesn't just happen on block 1 it happens on any and every block. No lag, no internet drop just instant boot and error 630. The pso2 team has stated they are aware of the issue and are working on it.

In my experience it doesn't matter if it's a populated block or not. Happens on low population blocks as well. I noticed after a disconnect that the pso2 website was having issues as well. This could be chalked up to a connection issue on my end however I was checking the website from a completely different network than my home network. Sega is definitely having some server issues on their end. In the last couple of days there have been offical forums posts, Reddit posts, Twitter posts and in game confirmation from lots of other players that this is happening to. I doubt that all these people with nothing in common are all having internet issues at the same time.

Gonna bump this tread as there are still diconnect issues for multiple people. This is not isp or equipment related. There is something going on with the pso2 servers themselves. Maybe it has something to do with server prep for the pc players who will be joining this month. At any rate Sega would you please look into this? One other thing is when the disconnects happen there is no lag or anything going on with the game client just a random and quick disconnect. This indicates the server stopped sending packets to the client or the client was forcefully disconnected.

Your not the only one. Error 630 has plagued me for the last 2 weeks. Lots of people on ship 1 block 1 have been discussing the issue as well. It really sucks to put up caps for advance quests only to get disconnected mid quest. I suspect this has something to do with them prepping the servers for the pc players who will be joining us this month. This is not an equipment or isp related issue this is something with the pso2 servers. Please fix.

Add me to this list as well. Happens 2-3 times a day. Sometimes spread far appart, sometimes within 30 mins to an hour of each other. Modem and router is fine and I don't have a problem staying connected in other games. Matter of fact I stay connected in party chat during the disconnect (error 630). Proper ports are open on the router too. Please fix.
