RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@Ragnawind Correct. Im glad the game is working for you and you've had zero issues, i myself have had little issues as well. but to say the PC players that are having issues are "incompetent" is kinda reaching.

There are legitimate issues out there that goes far beyond your average PC gamer issue.

Can't blame the community for that man. Not everybody is tech savvy and you shouldn't have to be to play a video game.

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@SleeprunnerInc Yet people are still downloading and running into issues because they were UNAWARE.

But i guess you're going to say "this is a player issue because they didnt do enough research"

ok. Im being civil about it, but you're just out right telling me to shut up.

lol.

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@Lorient and as i said before, im not discouraging because i myself am playing, im also getting OTHERS TO DOWNLOAD IT AS WELL, but im informing them of the current PC issues and what they may come across, nothing more nothing less.

if being informative is fear mongering, than might as well sweep all the issues under the rug and wait in silence.

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@Lorient Not everybody is like you brother, nobody wants to go through all that for an mmo, a majority of people just want to download and play, not download and reformat.

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@DDDDLife but...sega and microsoft said they're working on it..so they acknowledged the issue already, yet ya'll going to go with "its everyones PC"?

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@Lorient did you know that that solution doesnt work for everyone? how do you delete files you cant see or are hidden?

Why should people need a basic understanding of a PC to play a game?

you didnt need to know the knowledge for any other game? we making an exception for pso2?

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@Lorient so the countless people who had to reform their entire PC losing valueable doc/pics/etc isnt damaging?

ok.

We cannot delete the files without going through an extremely lengthy procedure because the launcher doesnt do it. so you have to manually track all 80GB of data yourself (if u can find it and IF IT EVEN ALLOWS U TO DELETE IT)

Still not damaging?...

Im not fear mongering dude, its happening to ENOUGH people that it is INDEED A REAL ISSUE.

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@Lorient Im not scaring anybody away, like i said, im on and playing perfectly fine, but i cannot say the same for alot of other PC players.

im bringing up KNOWN ISSUES.

Wouldnt you like to know whether or not downloading a game may cause dmg to ur PC?

What you're saying is "let everybody download the game and if it breaks oh well now they know". That is a HORRIBLE approach.

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@SleeprunnerInc said in PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam:

@Totta Trying to hound and exaggerate problems isn't helping mate.

I faced the same damn issues everyone did ,manually went through all the file permission, deletions etc till I said fuck it and used the tweaker.

Meanwhile my other friend who played had only the lobby lag and few glitches that were fixed by the last patch on the 10th.

So honestly yes. SHIT HAPPENS.

I've had my entire computer BSOD and have had another comptuer completely explode and to re-install EVERYTHING.

Where did i "hound or exaggerate" the issue though? im just bringing awareness to people who might not be aware of the current issues on PC.

Have you been on the pso2 tech discord? its a mess. I'm not exaggerating the issues, just informing players what the current risk is if they decide to DL and play on PC.

Hey it may work, OR you have to reformat your entire PC. I think this is vital information.

RE: PSO2 Roadmap + Global Release + Steam

@Bass-Captain-2 Lets not forget the issues hes going to run into once he finally gets everything up and running and he decides to turn off his PC for the night to go to bed, just to come on the next morning and find out the play button dont work because the files nuked themselves.

it is much deeper than the launcher.
