we'll be fine without you
meanwhile player base population is declining every day
There are random UQs available throughout the day that include the currently scheduled ones being in that pool of random UQs. If you can't make a scheduled one, you could still get into one at random. There are also triggers for them, I think.
So you know just gamble your time or idle praying for a UQ and that it's the event UQ?
So I figured this one out in case anyone is looking at this.
The issue ended up being with the windows store and not the game. I know this because I tried downloading other free games and apps and nothing was installing/launching. I tried numerous solutions like resetting windows store, clearing the cache, etc. The only thing that worked for me was a complete windows reinstall. That did the trick and I'm able to run the pso2 launcher now.
Really shitty though. Not sure how windows can fuck up their store so much to cause me to have to reinstall windows. This really should have been on steam.
The issue for me was that I have another harddrive with windows on it and installed it there. For some reason the game was attempting to use the Windows account from that other harddrive. Had to uninstall it then install it on the C drive of my primary
And move everything about 2 hours back?
I mean it's a fantastic schedule if you live in PDT... but ummm most people have things to do and can't really do the event quest or falz arms at 10/11pm CST/EST.
Mind you this is still reasonable time for PST being at 5/6PST
Pretty sure they took most of the blocks offline on purpose... I wonder if they'll do a forceful migration to reduce the load or give out free ship transfer coupons to transfer. Either way it'd only be done next maintenance
This entire launch is a brilliant example of how to not care, fail, and not care about failing
The issue with the ships right now I can somewhat understand and forgive. They should have been prepared but hindsight is 20/20.
Literally do their jobs and do a stress test. Something a good majority of the community was asking them to do and what EVERY other mmo does when porting. It's not hindsight is 20/20 this is 10/10 negligence and under valuing of their own property.
Luckily they're shameless
its not that the server is full they removed all but 9 of the blocks they want people to go to the other ships because ship 2 is overpopulated cuz everyone had to jump on the "nostalgia" ship 2 band wagon cuz it had the number 2 on it.
Unless they offer free character moves I don't see it clearing up.
Ehhh... Can't even give them the "You tried" award
All of this was preventable but instead they stone walled anyone asking for information and just threw it out the door without testing any of the new systems or even load testing.
To their credit they've learned from their previous mistakes and are not wiping hard drives like when the game launched 8 years ago. Honestly though this is just terrible work and the developer should feel ashamed
