I have malwarebytes and have had zero issues with either vanilla or tweaker on multiple computers.

The game is in beta, this is where they test things like this.
It being "open beta" isn't an excuse for everything.
This "test" resulted in some fraudulent bans on being who already paid for premium content.
And generally in betas if you find a bug, especially inadvertently, or just entering a key the company gave you, you don't get suspended for a week while they "investigate". They've already made multiple bad decisions. Considering SoJ is calling all the shots I don't have a good feeling.
Hopefully they can tell who tried to redeem it and didn't get it. It's a really cool perk and I'd be upset if I missed out on it. Tempted to call Xbox Support, but that's probably pure phone tree hell at this point.
Xbox won't be able to help anyway. I already contacted them and they said its out of their hands and I have to contact PSO2 support. Which just gives canned responses and never addresses what is in the ticket.
The times are in PDT for a reason. Most games have been the other way around. Maintenance won't start until 8pm EST. So this may be a day you and others don't get to play. That includes myself. The times for the JP servers didn't cater to us either. Had to deal with it. They need to leave it like it is. People will just have to adjust.
Most games for me have been in pacific. FFXIV included. Mainly because a lot of online companies are headquartered on the west coast. I live in Central time, but I can adjust, by playing other games/etc. At least FFXIV doesn't go on maint. every week. (And can go a whole month without it.)
FFXIV usually has downtime for patches from 10pm to 3am(2pm to 7pm JST, fyi JP prime time is generally 8pm to midnight.) or the entire day. They publicize it too so people "usually" know. Its nice and S-E learned from FF11's support mistakes.
If this is going to a true NA version of the game (which means lacking lots of JP exclusive collabs/items) then it needs to adjust to meet NA business hours.
They won't, they don't care about that. SoJ doesn't have to deal with us directly so they can ignore it easier.
@Taimara-Syn I agree with your points here. The response to this could have been much better; I'll blame growing pains for now because the NA server is so new. However making the codes once per account wouldn't have fixed the exploit issue, just slow it down slightly. That's probably the main reason the perks are still down.
True, people could of made multiple accounts still and traded the items over. I'm sure some already did that too and those people aren't suspended. There really is no way they can give them out if its tied to Game Pass Ultimate. Unless they removed the meseta and AC tickets then made everything untradeable.
Still this is technically still Beta, not live, so even a rollback or suspend people who did 3+ redeems and give the people who did only 2, which a majority probably were accidents, the opportunity to send the items to a GM or something. Now people miss out on PSO2 day and a week of play because of something that wasn't even their fault. (Not talking about the people knowingly exploiting).
Stuck inside for 2 weeks on self quarantine and can't even play because of Sega and MS's mistake. Makes me quite upset.
I don't really know how they are going to put back up the Gamepass perk with the rewards what they are right now. They were extremely generous with this perk, but there are too many ways to exploit it with no real way to protect against it. Unfortunately, this is going to lead to us never getting a reward quite this generous again.
They should of made it so an account can only redeem it once. They should of tested it before putting it out. This is entirely their fault for rushing a reward.
Still its worrying that instead of 1)immediately doing a maintenance and/or 2) immediately turning off Game Perk claiming and/or 3)immediately turning off AC tickets they spent time creating a script to automatically capture and suspend people, for a week, who redeemed more than 1 while they decided what to do.
It shouldn't take them a week to investigate either. Pretty sure Sega of Japan made the decision though. Bringing back bad memories of FF11 and NA support having to wait for JP Support's decision.

Yup, and I doubt their support is working during the weekend. So probably time to give up and go back to JP. If they are doing this in beta then I can imagine them doing worse after release if they make mistakes.
Their miscommunication between their own teams and their own support being told it was MS who did the ban (when MS didn't) is very telling.
They clearly didn't bother to test stuff before releasing it and even though its beta and WE tested it, we are suspended for it.
