RE: Am I the only PC player who has had next to 0 issues?

@NeoN I don't think you have to run the game in exclusive fullscreen, the guy in the screenshot just recommended it. But yeah, I do hope Sega gives us true 4K support soon.

the game is working perfectly fine for me

the only problem right now the game is kind of leggy cuz the servers are full maybe the reason why the downloads are crapping up for a lot of people they tried downloading it during the day I downloaded mine last night and I had no problems

"Works on my machine."

Dude, this is literally "works on my machine" thread. What did you expect? After seeing the vocal minority on Reddit screaming that they are having issues (which I do believe are a problem), what's the issue with people talking about their good experiences as well?

If someone interested in the game goes into the subreddit and see posts only about the game being broken, then they might be turned off in trying it. But if they can see that the experience can vary, they might go ahead and give it a try.

0 issues installing and playing on 3 different PC's. Desktop, Laptop, and g/f Desktop. Made sure I was on latest Windows update, graphics drivers, and xbox store apps. All 3 went smooth. I have a feeling alot of the negative windows store stars are from the people who are mad it's on the store and not steam, which is a shame for them and the game it self.

I do however do not like the low resolution on my 4k tv, and makes me want to just play it on my xbox one x.

Try this, just change 1920x1080 to 3840x2160. Keep in mind though that the UI will be very small. 39a079b0-d5c4-4e43-b8bc-c2a662c600c9-image.png File in question is user.pso2

Doesn't this go both ways though? I've seen both parties being pretty brutal with each other on the subreddit.

RE: Any Specific Release Date For Late May?

Question why do some people care about it being on Steam so much instead of the Microsoft store? Its built into windows 10 for one so its not like you have to download anything to use the MS store. If anything you download it once from the store and it will open like any other program you have on your PC don't have to go through a launcher like steam just open and play the game it seems better to me.

I play FFXIV and there is a steam version of it and from what I heard its worse than the stand alone windows version cause it takes longer to start because you have to launch it through steam.

I can say you should ignore those people who say it is worse through Steam when it is not, I have the Steam version of FFXIV and by no means does it load slowly or anything like that, it loads the same as without Steam, the Launcher is going to be the same with and without Steam.

The problem with the Steam version of FFXIV isn't about performance (although me and many others I know do have issues with FFXIV if Steam's Overlay is enabled). The problem is that it locks you into Steam. Found an expansion cheaper elsewhere? Too bad, you can only buy expansions through Steam. Want to play the game outside of Steam? Too bad, you can't. (I know bypasses exist, but it doesn't make it any less shittier.)

As for PSO2, I think a non-store version would be the best option imo (just like JP). That way you aren't forced to use Steam or the Microsoft Store. However, still do give people the option to use those marketplaces for those who want it.

RE: WTF Cross Play ...?

@Mattwo7 I'm still kind of new to PSO2, so that's my bad. I just compared them because both are a NPC you create in order to assist you in some way. Both can be sent to obtain items you might need. And while there isn't a formal AH in PSO2, I think the Player Shop gets pretty close. People put stuff up they want to sell for the price they want.

RE: WTF Cross Play ...?

@Mattwo7 Not really. The main thing you'd miss out on is Free Company (Alliance) stuff. You can't join a FC from a world that isn't yours. Retainers (comparable to Auxiliaries) don't work when visiting another world. Just minor stuff, imo. Everything else works fine. You also get several cross-world Linkshells, so you can use those as a pseudo Free Company.

But this Ship BS sets us way back.

FFXIV also won't have megaservers either, because of its instability with high amounts of players at once (mostly client-side.) That, and because FFXIV doesn't have a proper phasing system implemented. FFXIV is a far more funded MMORPG, and even it can't have a multi-server system in place like Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft do.

Phantasy Star Online 2 actually has a similar problem to FFXIV in this case.

While a somewhat recent addition, FFXIV lets you world visit. Any player on any world can visit other worlds for free as long as it is in the same datacenter. And for a long time now, instances (dungeons, raids, etc) have been cross-world as well. The only thing you can't do cross-world is be in the same Free Company (Alliance).

Yoshi-P also mentioned he would like to break down the barriers between DCs and offer cross-DC play as well. Obviously, this won't be an easy task, so it might take a long time before it happens or it might not ever happen at all.

I got an email back saying to wait the week out while they investigate. This has got to be a joke.

Shoot, that means we’re going to miss out on PSO2 day. That sucks.

Common COMMON sense would tell you that if you get more than one code something is not right. and if you get more than 2 even more so. Instead of saying hmm my code did not work and i got no items let me enter another code to try again. A mistype or something i can understand. At best what they can do is just look into case by case and those that put it more than one only be given that one and other accounts made be banned.

Ok so I give you a code for a jacket in real life. it doesnt work. I fix the system, and give you a code for a new jacket.

You try the new redeem the new fixed code for the jacket and put it on, looks nice on you congratulations.

You have 1 jacket.

Ok i ring police as and your ass is in jail, even though you have 1 jacket. You abused the system.

That is perhaps the dumbest logic ive heard all morning. if not all week. 1 if i were given a code for a jacket that did not work I WOULD GO TO THE BLOODY STORE first and ask them hey i had a code for this jacket and its not working. was their an issue? And then if there was have them void the first and ask if i could get a second if the first was void. not trot my bottom into the store again and say hmm well best to try again without asking anyone. You tend to learn steps to take in matters like this.

The issue in this case was that they never voided the first code. They should have either voided the code and/or not allow you to redeem it if you already redeemed a different code. I mean, wasn't that the original bug in the first place? People weren't able to redeem the code because people "already owned" PSO2. They should have kept that system in place once they updated the codes to give out the correct thing.
