@Shadowen If everyone votes yes(except the person in question) and it's the afk vote, that's as intended. If everyone votes yes in a unanimous vote, then kick 'em.
Whether or not implementing something like this would be worth it would depend on the inconvenience afk players(or players the rest of the group would want to intentionally remove) cause players in a UQ versus the inconvenience of players actually trying to participate and play the game and being kicked because every other person in the event wants you gone (either for trolling or legitimate reasons).
It's not perfect, but I have enough faith that at least one person in the group would want to stop an 'unjust' kick. If it does turn out that 11 players were trolly enough to kick you for no reason, best to get out of the group anyway.
This doesn't address whether or not a kicked player would be able to rejoin an event (or a group, maybe a block on joining that specific group to mitigate further unjust kicks) or the time that said legitimate player who was kicked will have wasted.
As an adjustment to the idea, They could make the manual kick vote require everyone to vote and for it to be unanimous. Leaving the afk vote to be decided by those who do vote and with a lower requirement of votes to successfully kick, but only after the alotted time to be determined 'afk'.
With that, the system seems a little watered down and may not even be worth implementing as it wouldn't be as impactful. However, I think it's much more likely that any given player would afk and be kicked by the party for it than any given full event group of players being trolly enough to kick someone legitimately trying. There are always exceptions, but the idea is to reduce the instances of this happening.
I'd be okay with a trail run of this version to see how players use it, with close moderation and the ability to disable to function if it seems people are too abusive for it to be effective at all.
