RE: New Moon UQ is awful

Yes, pretty much all the episode 4 content has been disappointing. Even the actual boss battle in this UQ manages to be super derivative and yet somehow worse than the boss battles it's emulating.

They may have been trying something new with the vehicles, but the controls should have been tested before being either refined or rejected.

RE: Will you continue playing PSO2 or wait for Genesis?

@TINPAN22 said in Will you continue playing PSO2 or wait for Genesis?:

It doesn't need correcting. I literally @'d the guy, it doesn't get any clearer than that. Y'all just don't read properly.

I genuinely think it's a part of the Sega Fanboyism blindness. It's the same with KPOP and other idols. Anything that goes slightly against them and immediately users get hostile, you think the worst so you try and blindly shoot them down without actually taking a second to read what they have said. I've noticed it a lot on this forum. It's funny because we're all here for the same common interest and want the best for the series.

Yes, you @'d the guy, but what you said was completely incorrect. It's not our fault you didn't write what you meant to say.

You have been snapping at people since the start of this thread, avoiding any discussion of the actual opinions that people have shared with you and now you are going to complain that people have been hostile to you? You're really stretching to play the victim here.

RE: Will you continue playing PSO2 or wait for Genesis?

@Dark-Falz-Persona The general consensus that I’ve seen is that people don’t want to spend time on an MMO game that they feel won’t be supported in the future. Whether it’s fun or not isn’t the issue at hand.

You make a pretty clear claim here that the consensus of the community is something that you are aware of. Maybe that wasn't your intent, but it is exactly what you said. It sounds like what you were trying to do was explain why those people who don't want to play would have that opinion, but what you wrote comes off as you saying that players in general do not want to play the game based on a lack of support in the future. If you had been clear in the first place, maybe people wouldn't be trying to correct you.

RE: Will you continue playing PSO2 or wait for Genesis?

@TINPAN22 You claimed to have seen a consensus. Trying to hide that as an opinion doesn't work. Either you misspoke, which, fine, it happens, or you are deliberately trying to be manipulative. Claiming to have seen a consensus is speaking for the community, not voicing an opinion. You are ignoring everyone whose opinion does not align with your own.

RE: Will you continue playing PSO2 or wait for Genesis?

@TINPAN22 You literally used the word consensus, too. That implies that you are passing on some knowledge of the community as a whole.

I'm not claiming that the community feels one way or the other on this, just voicing my opinion on the changes.

RE: Will you continue playing PSO2 or wait for Genesis?

@TINPAN22 Claiming that the general consensus is a particular thing is speaking for the entire community. If that's what you've seen, fine, but that does not make it the general consensus. I was merely using this thread as a reference to point out that claiming that consensus is a stretch at this point.

RE: Will you continue playing PSO2 or wait for Genesis?

@John-Paul-RAGE Well the last time I checked how percentages work, 90% would suggest the majority. So yeah. But Like I said, that would be the general consensus from what ‘I’VE SEEN’. I haven’t done a clinical study, dude.

A quick glance of the Reddit and the Twitter responses will give you an idea of how the community feels regarding this.

That general consensus isn't even supported in this thread, though. More people here say that they will continue playing than not. Some people are upset now, sure, and they should voice that, but acting like they speak for the entire community is less than helpful.

Short of having released PSO2 in NA years ago (which would have been ideal), this is probably the best way that they could have gone about this move. If they wanted to release New Genesis worldwide but let PSO2 players keep their stuff, which is a very cool way to handle such a big upgrade, releasing in NA first, even if only for a year gives us a chance to get some of those legacy items. If they had just waited to release NG worldwide next year, you can bet many of the same voices that are complaining now would be complaining about not having a chance to get the old stuff before NG launches.

For me, the game is still fun, and NG looks like it will also be fun. More accessories is a huge win! 🤗

RE: Will you continue playing PSO2 or wait for Genesis?

Definitely going to keep playing. I am still enjoying this game while looking forward to the next iteration.
