RE: So atlas EX when?

@Star-Platinum said in So atlas EX when?:

There is technically no point in "playing". With ngs looming over, it's all about farming sg for emotes/cosmetics. And even that is debatable since old emotes won't have moving fingers even in ngs. It's all just a waste of time at this point, there is no "progression".

That's the problem with games designing progression systems that are not enjoyable until you reach the "end game." No game lasts forever, we just have a clear timeframe for this one.

RE: So atlas EX when?

I'm one of them casuals who doesn't like gear grind but I'm also pissed off about this. I spent a lot of time getting my Atlas weapon made and affixed (in my case, thinking it would stick around for a while like nem/raven) and now it seems better weapons will drop at the same time. That doesn't motivate me. Just makes it feel like I wasted my time.

RE: Talis - Is it a decent option?

The rod is far superior in every way. Likewise for Techter Wand is the option you will 100% want to go with.

Talis makes certain Techs usable but it lakes the pure tech power that a rod will provide. Most of the techs you would use have more powerful techs that are easily cast using a rod.

Hero Talis is another story. Makes Talis usable as an actual weapon.

You either don't understand the game mechanics or don't know hot to properly utilize the Talis to come to this conclusion.

My religion is Cathy so I endorse this message.

Game Settings Not Saving on Xbox

I've been having an issue the last couple of weeks where my "Text Display" settings in-game are reset every time I log in. Is there any way to fix this?

RE: UQ's were a huge mistake.

@buismor

And one can easily say the only reason the schedule isn't fine is because of how it is for you specifically. This isn't a counter point. It's just a dismissive statement. There is no perfect solution that both helps the game stay healthy and active and also works for every person who plays. The trick is finding the right balance that manages to please as much people as possible whilst keeping the game state healthy.

It's not like I can't sympathize with people who can't seem to make it work. But that doesn't make it a problem for everyone else. Just as it working for myself or others doesn't mean it works for everyone.

I don't see anyone complaining that UQs are too frequent. The issue is people are not able participate in them due to their availability.

Do you have any evidence to show that UQs "help the game stay healthy?" No, you don't. You are ignoring the issues, throwing out unsubstantiated claims, and being argumentative.

RE: The player store being down is pretty huge

@Gamers-are-so-oppressed said in The player store being down is pretty huge:

Supposedly fixed and compensation which includes: Distributed Items: "Tokyo Bonus Key: Gold" x2, "Triboost +150%" x1, "Maker of New Epochs Trigger" x1, "SG 100 Ticket" x1

Not that I am ungrateful but.... Won't lie I kind of expected just a 3 day shop pass since well... it probably affected those people the most who recently used a 3 day shop pass.

Yeah, this is a pretty pathetic "compensation."

RE: The player store being down is pretty huge

@Furious I'm assuming you don't quite understand the value of money very well. Let's put it this way. You go to McDonald's and order a burger and fries. You pay your bill and get to the window. The cashier hands you a burger, informs you that they are out of fries, then wishes you a nice day and closes the window.

It might not be some crazy inconvenience, but you paid for those fries, right? Maybe you were even looking forward to them. Wouldn't you ask for your money back?

@Daishi said in UQ's were a huge mistake.:

(not everyone will do this, and I admit sometimes I don't have the patience and just re-roll to a new group. However, giving the opportunity is valuable.)

Basically this. Considering you are on a timer, it is always much easier to just drop a group instead of trying to teach someone. It just seems like a major drawback. .

A critique to scheduled events vs instance lock outs however is player engagement: Were there to be lock outs, a lot of the harder core players would blow them on certain days, or only run with isolated groups and it would become tedious especially for the newer players who haven't formed groups yet to pug. You see this a lot in other MMOs where you are waiting in LFG forever or you sit in the front of an instance unable to play until you get enough people.

Scheduled events go: Okay who's on? who's active? Let's do this, everyone hop in! and you always find active players.

It doesn't have to be lockouts per say, just any type of solution where people don't have to play on Sega's schedule. Triggers are nice but limited and don't include rematch fights. Even changing the times would ultimately be better say to like maybe a whole day or something. This is the only MMO I've known to have a weird system like this.

I agree with @Gamers-are-so-oppressed. @Daishi, you'll notice here that your arguments are so easy to pick apart because you are not arguing for a point or an opinion. You are arguing for the sake of being argumentative.
