RE: Suggestions should not be focused on gameplay/mechanics changes

@Chal said in Suggestions should not be focused on gameplay/mechanics changes:

@admin Can we get this pointless thread locked, moved or deleted, please?

Most of the suggestions here are pointless. What’s the difference? Please actually help the Sega America team fix any bugs within the port before suggesting massive changes. It’s that simple. People suggesting massive changes instead of reporting common bugs/issues within the Xbox port aren’t helping anything. The team needs to know of issues affecting players to ensure the game plays smoothly at release. It sucks that people don’t understand the point of the closed beta

RE: Suggestions should not be focused on gameplay/mechanics changes

@John-Paul-RAGE said in Suggestions should not be focused on gameplay/mechanics changes:

@BlackRadient

doesn't mean future feedback like this can't be implemented in SEGA's future or current games

Quoted that portion for those that read one sentence and assume they know what you were trying to say.

I disagree with the thread in general anyways. Reasoning being that just because something is considered a "core feature" doesn't mean it is a good feature, or in a perfected state.

The problem is people are suggesting massive changes after playing the game for 2 days. It’s really that simple. The game isn’t in any type of development phase. It’s a full finished product. And to think that Sega is actually going to implement some big mechanics change before release is ridiculous.

Suggestions should not be focused on gameplay/mechanics changes

I see A LOT of suggestions here (some good, some bad), but a majority of them are asking the developers to change the core mechanics of the game.

Please remember this game is simply a port from pc to Xbox and the game has been out for almost 8 years. Asking to change how the battle system works, changing how cosmetics work, or adding game modes is most likely impossible right now since any big changes would need to be implemented in the JP servers first.

Suggestions should be focused on QOL fixes and any technical issues with the XB1 port such as text, UI issues, and server issues.

RE: Helpful feedback for devs to read and utilize

I understand you spent some time with coming up and writing your suggestions, but what you are saying changes the overall mechanics of the game and would therefore need to be changed within the JP version.

This is not a new game. This is simply a port from pc to Xbox with an English translation. Changing the way poison works, changing how the map looks, and general cosmetics would most likely need to be implemented within the JP servers first and then eventually to the NA servers. When people have “suggestions” they need to understand the game and general gameplay will not change. The feedback is for any technical issues you may have had with the xb1 port (UI, text, etc...)

RE: Adding more shortcuts on XB1 controller

@jlisc0 said in Adding more shortcuts on XB1 controller:

I definitely like the idea of button chords as on option while remapping controls.

I did completely remap my controls to be attacking with triggers and bumpers, but I felt like there was always one or two things I would like access to occasionally that I just had to leave out... the map toggle as one example. I don't want it too often... But there is the rare occasion where I'd like to pull it up. But there's really just no space for it on the controller.

The “RB+LB” combo is pretty common in a lot of games to trigger abilities. COD and Destiny use it pretty well. I just feel like it’d be a nice addition to allow us to use that for our most used stance. For me it’d be chain trigger

Adding more shortcuts on XB1 controller

So I was primarily using Gunner and I realized it kind of sucks having to use the dpad in the middle of a fight to get your chain trigger or showtime. Is there any possible way to add another shortcut to the controller? Like allow us to set a stance to “RB+LB”.

I understand I’ll get the “Use a keyboard” argument, but please understand some people prefer a controller or simply don’t have a keyboard or PC. Remember, this is a PvE game, anything that helps another player become better will help you as well!

CBT feedback: Display and text description

Just a bit of feedback I couldn’t include in the survey. My visual setting was 4K Large:

  1. Display size: I’ve spent quite a time fidgeting with my PSO2 settings, tv settings, and Xbox settings trying to make this work. Every single setting had the mini map location (letter - number) cutoff so I couldn’t see my location. Also tried switching settings from small to large.

  2. Text description for classes/shop items: any time there was a description for a class skill or shop item, it would not display correctly if it was 2 lines. This wasn’t a display issue, but the text box was simply too small and would cut off the text.

I know there are some other issues with the HUD/UI, but issue seemed to be ease of access for console players (nothing significant).

I was extremely impressed by the beta. Ran very smoothly and similar to the JP version.

RE: Anyone know how to adjust screen size to fit my tv?

This is really my only issue with the cbt is not being able to adjust the screen in game.
