A thing that should really be considered is the fact that EP4 was the literal peak in activity for the JP servers. The day 1 number of concurrent players for Mother's release was somewhere around 70k people. The sheer number of people playing was significantly higher than the current numbers in NA, as evidenced by the fact that NA very rarely hits 100% even when the content is fresh, so it is extremely not fair to compare the numbers between the two versions of the game.
Did you happen to ever quit out of an in progress match? I know you get put into a low priority queue if that happens too much.
@DHG-MumfordsSon said in SG Tickets are now official. Thoughts?:
SG has always been in JP. You can’t pick and choose what they send over. It’s still ALL COSMETIC. Don’t buy it. Idk what theory debate or terminology you want to use but this is every loot crate based system ever. Even if you can’t sell them. Just don’t buy them. I mean it’s really not hard to control the impulse. I know everyone wants free handouts and everyone wants to have the same things, but that’s dumb. Some people will probably take pride in having a thing or two that only they and a select few have. More power to them.
It’s a free to play game with cosmetic micro transactions. They had SG scratch in JP for years. There are multiple ways even now to get SG. Clothes. Story. 75 class quests, skill point quests per class. And many more to be added. They also give them out frequently. I don’t see the issue. Unless people want everything they ever see right now and right then and the easiest way possible than yeah, sure. But if everyone’s going to quit over it or not spend money, now is the time.
The markets over saturated and episode 4 is a month off. Plenty of time for everyone to quit with this coming out this soon.
SG has not, in fact, always been in PSO2. It was added in Episode 4, and is widely considered to be one of the worst additions to the game even in JP.
Also what in the world are you talking about with skill point quests? Those don't give SG at all.
The shortened life of this scratch is pretty unacceptable while the price of a pull is still the same, while our sources of SG are still smaller. Very disappointing to see.

Don't tell people to not invest into Ray, this is literally the perfect time TO invest. Plus Ray gets an upgrade to Union, which honestly will carry you over to Bode/Lightstream units. Plus Unit ring addition...Yea
Austeres would last you until 13* units, so it'd be a shame if you invested a lot of money into something that's currently a sidegrade only to immediately upgrade. We also don't have ring skills on units at the moment, so that isn't an issue right now.
11* Invade units are shit, and 12* Austere (we don't get those until Ep5) are better than Ray but worse than Bode/Lightstream. You can hold onto them but telling people to not get Ray units when it's the time to get them is laughable at best.
For anyone reading this thread, ignore said person who said to keep using Saiki. Ray > Union will last you a good while and we'll most likely get unit skill ring addition come Ep4 when we also get the rest of the rings we're missing.
There were 11* austere units as well, which have extremely good stats. We also shouldn't have ray units until EP4 if they were releasing all that stuff in the same order so I don't know why you're assuming they won't give us 12* austere units until EP5.
As to the claim that austeres are worse than bode/lightstream: Austere back+arm gives 190 hp, 30pp, and 60(11* stats)/80(12* stats) all attack. bode rear+arm gives 100HP, 20PP, and 80 all attack, not even close to being better. Lightstream rear+arm gives 200HP, 30PP, and 100 all attack, slightly better but they'd require a lot of resources to obtain compared to Austeres, assuming we get them with the Profound Darkness.
And I didn't tell people not to get rays at all, I said don't invest in them yet. Affixing a new unit set is a lot of money and we very possibly might have a significant upgrade coming in a few days.

The ray series of units is actually not significantly better than saiki at the moment. They give the same total HP, ray gives 4 more PP and 5 more all attack, but saiki has more defense. If you're using saiki right now I wouldn't really invest in rays, probably wait and see if austere comes out with PD.

It never was about what content you can't do. It's about being able to equip weapons.
Here's a list that includes weapons currently on Japan. Scroll down to 15 stars, this is why people build pure mags.
https://pso2.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/Simple_Swords_List
And more damage is the best utility. There's zero reason to not do so.
So yeah my fault for being a Newman but I got 3 class left to get 75 so whatever.
15 star weapons are at minimum 4-5 months off. A single point in dex will not have any noticeable effect on anything, other than allowing you to equip those ray units. It won't even cost you anything at all if you still have those 5 free level down devices you got when you got your mag to lv100. Like you could do that so you can use the ray units on your hunter immediately, then switch it back to attack once you get braver/bouncer to 75.
The /sr chat command followed by a skill ring's name is meant to swap rings to the ring typed out in the command. However, it only seems to read the first word of the ring name (since in JP there weren't any spaces in ring names), which causes the command to fail. As far as I can tell there isn't any way to input this command and make it work, at least while the language is set to english.
Edit: Oh, someone told me that no spaces doesn't work, but it 100% does. Well that was easy.
TA maps are static, and it is in fact a swastika. I feel like it's kinda common knowledge now, but the reason it's there is because a lot of Asian cultures have a significantly different meaning tied to the symbol than we do here in the west.
Given the nature of TAs it'd probably be fairly difficult to change the shape of the map while also keeping it consistant in how long it takes to get through.

@ERICK001BC So why take an automobile? Walking will get you there "eventually". Why cut down a tree with a chain saw? An axe will fell it "eventually". Why use a lighter, when rubbing 2 stick together will start a fire "eventually"? I'm guessing you're under 40 simply based on the fact that you are ok with "eventually".
Nobody is paying 9$ a pop for "eventually", they pay it for results.
In any game that is actually P2W, as you seem to want it, how far do you think $9 will get you?
@Penndragon87 said in My current problem with this version of PSO2:
It's increasingly frustrating that all they release is new uqs. I am still hoping there is some surprise tomorrow morning after maint. The only population at this point that is online are lobby dwellers. Everytime this gets posted here people just flame the poster which is annoying because they aren't even playing in console in it's current state. This wouldn't of been such a problem if they released a harder difficulty or not let us have this insane gear.
Edit: to add they are giving off a really bad vibe by only just releasing ac scratch instead of actual content. The way it is right now is making it seem they only care about $$$
UQs kinda are the actual content. There will be other stuff that can be run any time later on, but for the most part the vast majority of new content to the game will be new UQs.
@Maxwell said in My current problem with this version of PSO2:
The title alone may make you think that I'm wanting more content & while I do... but I'm not really focused on content i.e new areas & quest-types; my issue stems with limited loot pools, fresh finds exorbitant prices/not being able to sell them, & no real reason to play after acquiring max level(s).
So I'll break it down starting with the limited loot pool claim. I'm a JP vet & have played PSO2 back in 2013 (off & on) so I remember some of it because it was apart of my childhood & I remember lots of loot that made farming for affixes conveniently using a certain weapon (trainers saber think it came from rockbear or rare version). There's a ton of 10-11★ weapons & I think units that are currently missing from Episodes 1-3 (We're on EP3 right now), a noticeable one would be the sword named "Ellsion" & wand "Elysion" which drops from Profound darkness & both are missing yet Psycho wand is in; heck even Elder pain is missing. The game is currently throwing 3 kinds of placeholder rare drops at you & those are "Deo", "Sigma, & "Revolsio" all which aren't relatively good especially when we're missing PvP for Revolsios other photon form.
Fresh finds or star gem deals is not a feature on JP servers but this to me serves as a cosmetic catch-up mechanism & at the same time it's a major problem because the prices per costume are 20$ on up but also cannot be sold. So if you're on a small vacation, decide to play another game for a bit, etc then you'll miss out on any chance to obtain an outfit that you were looking forward to because it cannot be sold anymore (used to supposedly be able to do it during the first week but it was supposedly a bug). Fresh finds is way different from the scratch because you can sell it while it's also relatively cheap to obtain them via AC scratch tickets. You may say that it will eventually appear in a scratch in the future & yeah that is true since the Anime eyes re-appeared in a scratch.
The current version of the game is very limited (we still don't even have craft-able PAs, Units, or Weapons yet) so once you hit your 75 in your preferred role, the only thing left to do is to level another 75 or try & farm decent gear. Those two fronts pose a major problem because after you get all lvl 75s there's no reason to really play (I'm not 75 in everything) & obtaining decent gear currently is worthless because real gear starts at 12★ units & 13★+ weapons. So all you really can do is make place holders but when you're done with that... then what's next?
There's more I can say but I think I've gone on for too long I do wanna clear up a miss-understanding that I guarantee will occur & that would be the old "Just play a different game & take a break" argument. That doesn't hold because I just AFK on PSO2 lately while I play League,BDO, Halo, etc. The other argument would be that I'm not understanding because of the virus & that is something I 100% understand but they can definitely juice the loot-tables, it's practically a switch at this stage since development is complete & I doubt it's a cert required process. Thanks for your time & lastly Gimmie my Snow White Arks trainee outfit Sega.
We are actually in Episode 2 right now, not 3. Also Elysion and Ely Sion both dropped from elder, not PD.
To say that "real" gear starts at 12 star units and 13 star weapons (we already have 13 star weapons, fyi) is also kind of a very weird thing to say. Current gear will always be outclassed by future gear, that's kind of how these games work. That doesn't mean that current gear isn't worth getting however, as you kind of need good gear to get the future good stuff.
@GM-Deynger said in I think this game is going to fail by the end of the year.:
We are aware of this issue.
Ah, that's good to know. Thanks!
