RE: The player store being down is pretty huge

@hynaku4494 said in The player store being down is pretty huge:

If they don't fix it fast. I can see them loosing a lot of money from ones not buying scratch tickets.

Looking at the whales on Ship 3 with their full sets of AC scratch gear, it feels like they might have actually boosted sales, with impatient players just buying extra scratch tickets to get everything they wanted, instead of trading with other players for the missing pieces.

RE: FIX BRAVER FOCUS when using KATANA. BRAVER KATANA BROKEN SINCE RELEASE OF EP 4

@NyteCrawler Yeah in the new balance, release state is meant to be a temporary phase who's main effect is to increase your crit rate by an additive 50% for it's duration instead of the bulk of your damage bonus like hunter's guard stance. I'm not sure how I feel about the slow ramp up personally, since it discourages you using your counter-edge in trash pulls, lest you waste your gear before the main boss fight. When countering is meant to be a big part of the braver's playstyle.

Will we ever be able to move cosmetic licenses between characters or change race?

I understand the logic behind requiring two tickets to make cosmetics account-wide. And I'm quite happy to stump up the cash to do that, but the Fresh Finds store only ever gives you a single ticket and thus it is forever bound to the character you bought it on.

When I created my 'main' I didn't realise that CAST could appear human if they wanted, while also having the option of using their CAST parts, and would like to make a CAST my main. I was seriously considered recreating them as a CAST and rebuying the cosmetics i need to make it work; however, one of the defining cosmetics my character uses is from the Fresh Finds store and thus irreplaceable and not account-wide.

Is there anything I can do about this, or am I forever shit out of luck? - This issue is rather undermining my enjoyment of the cosmetic endgame and I'd gladly pay them real money to change race/buy additional FF item lisences. It's almost like they don't want money!

A question about Harukotan's natives

Pardon my ignorance if I'm misinterpreting things, but to a casual observer Harukotan seems to be strongly inspired by Far Eastern architecture and cultural motifs.

To that end, are the different forms the daybreaker and nightfaller natives come in actually recognizable as being inspired by specific mythological beings (Yokai, oni, kami etc), or are they just a random mishmash of forms that just happen to have a vaguely reminiscent nature?

RE: Flinch / Knockback resistance?

@Furious said in Flinch / Knockback resistance?:

Really amps up the fun factor watching my character do a bunch of somersaults around the map.

Actually, you do have another tool in your arsenal. At a certain level... 30 I think? - one of the free skills all classes get (But you do need to unlock it on your skill tree, near the top), is called 'Air Reversal'. Whenever you get launched or knocked backwards, if you hit jump before you hit the ground, you'll land on your feet instead of getting knocked prone.

It does however take a lot of practice, but eventually you'll build up a reflex for it.

RE: Ask a veteran ARKS!

@zaffy2005 said in Ask a veteran ARKS!:

Oh, before I forget again is there a way to check which missions we've successfully completed on "hardcore" to get the respective rewards?

Yep! - When you finish a hardcore mission and get the reward, you get an associated title. Check the title rewards lady in the gate area and see which story titles are still ????'d out, it should tell you which story mission it is associated with when you highlight it

RE: Ask a veteran ARKS!

Out of curiosity, how are the Hardcore entries scaled for Story mode? - Is it based on your character's effective level/tier, or are the missions themselves set up for a particular expected player level?

I've been playing through the Story and been doing so in Hardcore difficulty the entire way through, and had no trouble doing so, save for a few missions I only got A or below and didn't get title credit for. Never outright failed a mission, even got through Profound Darkness without a single hitch.

Through all this I was typically sub-lvl 60, as I experimented a bit and went back and forth on which class to commit to, eventually settling on BoFi which is what I was running for most of Chapter 3 including Profound Darkness. Then I got to the Episode 3 quest at Bouncer ~Lv55*"The Significance of Being here"*, and suddenly I'm getting utterly destroyed by just the trash mobs in the mission; both due to their extremely high damage output and the fact they all feel like bullet sponges.

Is this because I crossed a certain level threshold, and it's now using a different damage model? (ie Super Hard > Extreme Hard), or is the mission itself scaled for a higher level character and I should come back later?

Story Quests and difficulty curves (NA)

RE: Ask a veteran ARKS!

@Ezodagrom Ah, that makes sense. So they were right to be annoyed since technically it was me who triggered the 1000 point finish condition, but seems like the mechanic could have been better explained 😛

RE: Ask a veteran ARKS!

I have a newbie question.

I've visited Nightfall Province exploration twice so far. At the end when you go to area 2, there's never anything there, just a return telepipe. I guessed there must be some conditions to cause the boss to spawn and didn't think much of it.

The second time I went to Nightfall Province, a couple of random players joined my party (Self invited), and they rushed straight to the boss area, when they got there they both started screaming at me and chewing me out for "Wasting their time by not telling them the boss was already done"

What the heck happened and how do I avoid messing this up in future?
