the posted "issue report"

So the Issue report for windows 10 install/download they just put up not that long ago, its honestly a bit insulting. their best response right now is stuff that WE HAVE tried (probably multiple times for some) and then after that its contact windows support, who do you think we contacted after getting the same error over and over again. It feels like they are trying to push the problem off on Microsoft (who is at fault for this mess just as much as Sega) and not taking responsibility for a mess they had their fair share part of.

Also as a little aside related to it, looks like Microsoft removed well over 200 of the reviews from the PSO2 MS store page, which did raise its score some, albeit only by 0.1 but whats to stop them from doing that over time to try and sweep the negative attention the MS store has been getting from this mess under the rug. Both Sega and Microsoft need to just sit down, own up that this is 100% a mess of both their making, and fix the problem. Not give a half baked temp "fix" that boils down to if it still doesn't work, send a support ticket to Microsoft and Microsoft needs to not touch a single review on that page , most of them pointing out that a good chunk of this whole thing is caused by the terrible way the MS store is set up and works, and actually fix their store or else this will just repeat with the next update/patch/or game that comes along.

RE: Still no official response?

Also, i think most of us know its out of the GMs hands in regards to fixing the issue, but the GMs are the community's only mouth piece to the ones that are in charge, so we have to make ourselves heard so that they can relay our frustrations to them so that this can be fixed as quickly as possible.

RE: Still no official response?

@GM-Deynger Can we at least get some info like if the timed events/campaigns like the joining alliance and story quest completion ones will be extended because of this mess or are we just screwed out of these because of it all?

RE: Rant

@zaffy2005 couple of things with what you said. For the overcrowding issue, that would have been an easily avoidable issue, IF they had actually stopped and considered the PC player base for even a moment instead of just sucking up to the Xbox crowd the entire beta period. and for the symbol arts, before you go blaming it all on the PC players, consider for a moment that those bad actors could just as easily be Xbox players that have already been around in game, but just making use of the tools PC has to be able to more quickly create symbol arts for that sort of thing if they could get the pc version working. So don't just lump all the PC players together when the Xbox crowd has been plenty toxic in the past (see any thread or twitter post comments where even the slightest hint of someone asking about PC details came up).

RE: Rant

@Lwyu They made mistakes and need to be called out on it in a blunt a fashion as possible loud enough for the GMs to pass it onto the Devs so they know this is not ok in the slightest. Have to draw that line in the sand pretty obviously or they will just do similar things in the future.

Rant

Frankly making this because tired and frustrated as the absolute dumpster fire the PC launch has been, and seeing some of the posts, just wanting to get things off my chest.

First of all, all the people moaning about there not being enough new content, how about being quiet and letting them sort out this the whole they dug for themselves first. PC players were constantly berated and called entitled when asking for any info on the PC release and about wanting there to be a PC beta (gee wouldn't that have been a good idea). well guess what the ones that are coming off as entitled are you all that are moaning about there not being enough new content, WHEN A WHOLE PLATFORM for the game is having issues even getting the thing installed in the first place. So you know what, its its PC players turn to tell you all complaining about lack of content to sit back, shut up, and let them work on this issue before moaning about something that will come with time no matter what.

We were constantly kept in the dark about details because of this absurd exclusivity period that is only succeeding in sabotaging themselves and the launch of the game and now all that sucking up to Xbox and ignoring PC is coming around to bite them in the end. Also, a little side rant, all the Xbox players should be really damn grateful they even did the launch for Xbox the way they did, cause every beta i have been a part of for an MMO included a FULL server reset before the soft open beta or official launch. I have tried to stay positive and see both sides point of view before i complain on things but this has just worn my patience so damn thin. They mishandled this whole launch in so many ways its like they wanted this fail. I know the GMs hands are tied, but they could have been more transparent and pushed harder about relaying the community concerns to the Devs, cause guess what, a majority of those concerns just them all square in the face for this launch.

Thats all i got to say on it, there isn't a good place to rant, so here it is. Needed to vent some frustration because of just how baffling the decisions around the PC launch have been.

RE: We told you so just doesn't seem to cut it

Just going to leave this here before giving up on it today. Shit hit the fan with the PC launch, the forums are pretty much a firestorm, and not a peep from any of the GM/devs. Also I am hoping they plan on extending all the events cause it would be pretty messed up if they don't seeing as how this whole mess is their fault from their lack of forsight and unwillingness to heed concerns brought up by the community DAY 1 after they announces the betas were for xbox only. Should have been a pc beta to catch this mess, there wasn't and now this is the result.

RE: We told you so just doesn't seem to cut it

To be brutally honest, my patience is wearing so thin with this launch, they royally screwed up on this and don't even have the decency to acknowledge it. So much for all the times they have chimed in on threads saying they were listening and relaying feedback. If they were, this shouldn't have happened.

Honestly, I don't think its the store that is the core of the issue here, its the fact that they went into the PC launch with pretty much 0 prep and thought it would go smoothly. If they would have bothered to actually have a PC beta test, a lot of these issues could have been ironed out over the course of the beta instead of putting them under the gun and needing to solve the issues immediately.

The thing is... some of the issues have happened with other games released on the MS store.

Thats even more of a reason why they should have tested things ahead of time and not just hope it works out on launch day. They could have done a beta for PC, seen something was wrong and have given themselves the time to pivot and make the changes they need. instead they gave themselves a lot of un-needed crunch cause they are going to have to figure out how to fix this right away instead of having that grace period that beta tests give a dev to fix things like this.

I've taken part in my fair share of MMO launches, and i have to say, this NA PC launch is one of the most mishandled ones i have seen on just so many levels.
