RE: Lewd and Inappropriate content

Ultimately it all comes down to "why isn't there just an on/off for explicit content"?

Mark images as not suitable for children, filter words and allow an on/off function so people can swear without circumventing the blanket filters.

Virtually every MMO on the market has this exact same system. If people violate these rules, report them, let a GM suspend their account. But don't start doing that until you give people an option to turn off the filter so they can swear and stop feeling a need to circumvent these things.

Ship Capaacity - Preparations for Windows 10 Players

Hi, question.

Are there going to be more ships available for Windows, or are the existing ships going to be expanded for capacity?

I have an Xbox player waiting for us Windows 10 players with a guild, but I am a little worried that the ship might reach its limit.

What preparation is the PSO2 team making for the Windows 10 players, and what can we expect next week?

RE: PSO2 Team: Please Advertise/Hype More for PC Release

It's been 3 weeks since I posted this. Not one official mentioning of the PC version anywhere. Just a press release a month ago with one sentence.

We've got this week and next for May.

Has anyone heard anything about this in the past month?

RE: Recruit-a-Friend System

My only recommendation, @GM-Deynger is to ensure the item lasts indefinitely if it's going to be an item you purchase.

I've seen games mess this up by only giving you XP until L10, etc., and it's just a useless item with how quickly that flies. The longer players play together, the more they'll want to use it. The longer the player is attached to the game, the more they'll want to play, and the more money they'll eventually drop into the game. This is always the way to cap level because 1-3 days of leveling isn't going to get someone hooked.

You'd know a lot more about the game than I, but I played a little amount of time on the JP servers, and curious if a very minor boost of luck between the players might be incentive for capped players. Nothing game breaking, a few points, but enough to occassionally boost up the rarity of some weapons.

Recruit-a-Friend System

Not gonna lie, I'm having a very hard time convincing my friends to play this game.

I've tried everything. I want to play this game SO BADLY.

It would be really helpful if you had a recruit-a-friend campaign. If you purchase something, you give an item to a friend, and if you party together, your XP is increased by 50-100%. One purchase by an interested player trying to grasp on to a friend to play with them, give them a bonus by being with you, and spending more time in the game.

The item only works when you're both in the same party. Think of it as a bonding item. The player has a chance to spend time with a friend to teach them the ropes and enjoy the game more.

Since my friends are all playing Animal Crossing and other games, it's going to take something like this to pull them away from it. Please consider an item like this to give more incentive for friends to be together and want to play.

RE: Add an option to toggle the profanity filter

I agree.

People are just going to circumvent the censor any ways.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know to put a period or comma in the middle of a swear word.

People are going to do this, and they always have done this, all the way back to the Dreamcast PSO over 20 years ago.

RE: Emergency Code: Too Slow

I think merely speeding up the warning 2x speed and making it happen twice would solve this issue.

I remember being on the JP servers and doing something else and wondering what I missed.

A double message at least would increase the chances of knowing what's going on.

RE: PSO2 Team: Please Advertise/Hype More for PC Release

That's true, but still, it makes no sense.

Microsoft wants Sega to make money. Sega wants Sega to make money. Nexon wants Sega to make money.

I think @Leonkh99 has the right of it. Sega has a very long history of not putting out promotion materials, and hasn't pushed themselves since the early 90s. Dreamcast was still my favorite console of all time and I can't remember any advertising in my region for it. And if the Xbox One version was under the radar, imagine the PC one.

I'm not saying this to be mean, I want Sega to succeed. We all do. But damn gurl, get some stuff up on your social media.

@Havox3 said in PSO2 Team: Please Advertise/Hype More for PC Release:

They're probably contractually obliged to keep silent about PC version due to some kind of shady backroom deal with Microsoft except for that one release announcement tweet.

HAHAHA I love this.

Microsoft has a deal with Microsoft, so Microsoft can't release information on its Microsoft OS because of the Microsoft gaming console, so Microsoft signed a non-disclosure agreement with Microsoft so Microsoft couldn't allow Microsoft to talk about Microsoft making a Microsoft game cross-compatible with a Microsoft game. Thank you for the laughs.
I love everything about this.👏 😊 😸
