That's what I think the case is, everyone here seem to have lost around the same amount.
Converse with fellow players
Finally got a response back, they say I spent star gems on a... collection expansion.... which I did not, collections are kinda useless atm and I didn't even go to the menu where it was possible, at least not that I recall. I sent a email back explaining that and waiting on a response again.
Click on them in your inventory and choose "Confirm set effect" mind you some of them also pair with a weapon
@Skyfir51 That's a very solid combo, works very well for both Melee and ranged and is generally the Staple braver build. I really recommend looking up builds online, as the game does not make it obvious what is worth getting and what isn't. I mained Br/Hu for quite a while over on JP its very fun.
Hunter tends to be good for both of those, though it does start out a bit slow till you get some skills, but once you do it's very survivable, and is one of the, if not the best sub in the game (unless you wanna use techs).
Summoner is also along the same lines, easy to pick up and makes a amazing sub, but the downside is it does not play like anything else in the game really. Notably it can use tech, but still brings decent modifiers for melee and range mains, while also having some decent survivabilty. The viable "I want to play melee/range but still have access to support techs" SUB
Braver is a ton of fun right out of the gate and can make for a very good class, it can also get you used to both melee and ranged play as it has options for both, how ever its not really a great sub, otu side of a few specific builds.
PSO2 is very much a game about avoiding or otherwise preventing damage rather then taking it to the face, as such enemies tend to hit pretty hard. If you are using katana getting down your perfect guard timing is very important, as it; Prevents damage, Unleashes a powerful counter, and Activates focus. Keep in mind though, the attack has to come from in-front of you and the game isn't always super consistent about that. If you are using bow, you can prevent damage by abusing your range and getting used to step dodge timings (its tight but once you have it down its second nature). As someone else pointed out Katana escape skill on Katana combat makes you immune to damage for about 20 seconds (which is VERY long time in a game like this).
Now of course you aren't gonna become Neo over night and never take damage, your secondary, Hunter, is very good for this. Hunter has access to skills like "Auto-mate Half" which automatically uses healing items for you, instantly, with no animation at half HP(with 10 points) and "Iron Will" and its child skill "Stalwart spirit" Which when both maxed, give you a 75% chance to survive a killing blow with 1 HP, and 15 second of invulnerability when you do (Along with some melee attack). Hunter sub is very good for adding a bit of survivability and if you are having issue staying alive, I recommend making a detour for one of these skills.
