PSO tweaker fixes the lobby issues.
That is because it applies the "fix" found on reddit.
@Ragnawind thanks for the tip. I tried to start the launcher from the folder before but it also starts direct to the title screen.
That's because they already changed the file to apply the fix. There should be another file in there with a similar name for the launcher.
So i got the game to work, thanks to the tweaker. But now the launcher wont open so I cant set up the right monitor. It starts direct into the title screen.
I think the tweaker applies the fix for lobby lag. You have to go to where the game itself is located and run the launcher directly. Otherwise, you can directly modify the user.pso2 file in the game's folder in your user profile's Documents folder.
this MSIXVC folder is empty on my drive too. the bad news now....even Microsoft support-member who looked into my and your problem couldn´t solve the problem. my code is 0x8007065E read it again... A MICROSOFT support-member COULDN`T fix that problem. (he looked into it with a remote-control) My brother had 5 support Member for this and EVERYONE couldn´t fix it too.
That error is related to Windows Update, which also affects the MS Store: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/0x8007065e/471c0096-9321-4208-8b3f-ae05faab499b
@Duel1074 : That folder is related to a download of the UWP version of the Visual C++ Runtime packages. The game requires the UWP versions of Visual C++ Runtimes from 2012 and 2013.
It was NOT removed. It is still there where it is supposed to be: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/phantasy-star-online-2/9p1rsq5mgpcr?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
@Ragnawind Pressing tab does nothing. As for the check flies, whenever I run an exe to open the game it doesn't open the client, it just boots straight to the game.
If it boots straight to the game, go here in Windows Explorer (or copy the below folder structure, press the Windows key and R to bring up the Run dialog box and paste it in there): C:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps\pso2_bin
Once at this location, run pso2launcher.exe
If you changed it already for the lag in the lobby to bypass it, open the original pso2launcher.exe that you should have made a backup for by renaming it.
While on that screen, does pressing Tab do anything? If not, go back to the launcher and have it check the files.
Meanwhile there is a workaround on Reddit, but do it at your own risk.
So far, the only drawback is that Xbox Live achievement notifications won't appear. (You still earn the achievements.) I'm unsure if the PSO2 Team can even fix the issue if it's related to the MS Store overlay.
The issue is how the launcher starts the game. It isn't an issue with Microsoft at all for the lag. in the lobby
