RE: Seldom seen a more un-user friendly experience.

@Bippzy said in Seldom seen a more un-user friendly experience.:

Japanese MMOs have always been menu-heavy and a bit convoluted when it comes to certain systems. FFXI is crazier than PSO2 (in my opinion at least). Even FFXIV has its share of submenu management to a degree. It just comes with the territory for a Japanese MMO and that’s something I have come to expect when playing a Japanese MMO.

This resumes all.

RE: People need to calm down.

We should be always polite. And hot talking is not productive. But, devs should have expected the big wave. And a lot of problems is not about player numbers.

The problems with installation is all about testing in more different environments. I managed to get it work. But the solution is not trivial to many players.

RE: Relation with the original games

Well... As we are used to Marvel and DC Multiverses, and many other sci-fi stories, we always have the chance to get some connection between PSO2 and the original games. But I believe this is not the intent. Sadly.

RE: When it launches on PC

And we see that such modus operandi is useful. While many publishers/devs fail in releasing their games in specific dates, when you work with a flexible date, you will not have problem with that.

See? I know devs who write step by step their news and the game has delays. The most edge example is Star Citizen. And there are companies that do in the other way. Each company has its rules. We have to deal with it. They are not cheating us. They are following their way.

RE: When it launches on PC

Nah. This is still spring. They are not outside of their schedule. They also don't say anything before they are close enough to be sure. In this sense, they are following their modus operandi as always did. The only problem with hype when we have an alternative is exactly that we can always try it in another place. This is what I did. And the hype has passed. I may play on West, but probably not too much because I already played many hours on jp. I know there are people that played a lot on jp and will play a lot here.

But, hey, I like the PS lore and all the memories it brings back.

I'm really not criticizing anything in the bad way. This is my legit thoughts.

RE: Any word on the PC version?

Nah, let's not blame each other. We don't need that. This game is great, but we have so many option that we can always wait.

Spring is not over yet. And... Even if they need more time, they will have more time. We all want to play this, and we are at home because covid19, but things come when they come.

RE: From a computer engineer's POV, a PC beta test is unnecessary, but an Xbox one is.

And if PC version will have different business rule w.r.t. Xbox version, they also must test it too.

RE: When it launches on PC

Not really. PC players can always play on jp server, as I do. The only problem is the dubbing, because the text translation is very good for a non official work. It is really easy to install. The hard part is the captcha when creating the account, which is in Japanese. But a few minutes using wiki to search the symbols is enough.

But it (the April's fools) would be tragic and funny.

RE: Is this really the Early game?

Oh. Got it. I was doing only the arks quests, which give que exp Just after we complete them and return to the ships. But I was not giving attention to the client orders. I will look for it.

RE: Is this really the Early game?

Redeeming? Huh... I thought it is automatic after completing the missions when that screen appears with the exp and your rank (S or A, usually). I will check it.
