same goes for any criteria
they added about 5 years of summer events in one, and japanese games are always like this on summer events, when more options are released most people will change their outfit
even then, the content is there, and not releasing it because it may offend some americans is stupid
i expected this happen to me pretty often but for some reason it didnt yet
and its not like i havent been thrown in really bad teams, because seriously i have been on way many terrible ones, no one yet stopped to spam toxicity yet
whats with US localization and japan anyways, its not like there isnt stuff like that in the US media
censorship is stupid, you dont lose anything by having stuff the way they are, it requires extra work and the only thing you achieve is pissing off your audience
i mean you already have the M rating, what do you lose by just leaving stuff unmodified
now that the game is launched "globally" people who speak spanish are having trouble using any word in the chat that contains the "ñ" letter since the game blocks you from sending it
guess the portuguese and french people are having the same problem with the "ç" letter
and seriously i dont see whats wrong with using special characters for emoticons either so it seems like a dumb restriction anyways
@Novaline said in DO NOT RELEASE EXPERT GROUPING ON NA! Instead do this..:
Bruh what are you on, the expert requirements weren't even hard for Techer unless you're one of those "sUpPoRt OnLy No DpS tEcHeR" shitters.
well, i tried when the requirement wasnt implemented yet, maybe with the current gear its easy, but back then i only managed to get A rank by going all out on the offensive attacking nonstop
then again judging how we have ep5 weapons on ep3, this might not be much of a problem here
expert requirements on jp never were actually hard, unless you only play as a non dps class like techer, and that only applies to the current requisites on the jp, since they have a time limit to them, just removing that time limit would be enough
trust me, now it isnt much of a problem, but later there will be second phase raids that have death count limits, you dont want go with randoms to fight these bosses when there is no such thing as the expert requirement
I understand what you are implying, but to debate the issues you have to understand a number of factors.
For JP it has always been new content without a comparison unlike the NA version and not to mention culture difference. As an example of this you will find in a now locked thread of Independence Day event.
SG have been attached to AC scratch tickets tradable outfits and daily incentives but sound like it is to much work for the free to play player’s.
Is JP free to play?
I think and have read more about the SG not being tradable more of an issue and other factors as a distraction and misdirection.
1- honestly i find idenpence day event as something good, shows that the PSO2NA staff is capable of doing custom content instead of relying on whats already in the game, maybe the problem of that event is that not everyone here is from the US, we are aware that the game has some kind of region lock to NA but people all over the world are joining in, but getting angry about being exposed to a culture that isnt yours is stupid
2- SG on outfits is a reward for those who actually buys the AC scratch instead of buying the outfit from the player shop using free currency, for the buyer either gives them the SG or makes the item in question more valuable when trying to sell it to F2P players
these are not viable as main method of obtaining SG, in fact almost no one does this on JP, think about it, while you are doing this, you lose the choice of dressing your character as you like because you just are wearing whatever is cheaper
3- yes it is
4- SG is not tradeable on the JP either, making them tradeable is just a solution some people have been suggesting as an alternative to giving us more free ways to obtain them, i don't think it is a good solution since it doesn't solves the problem of the dead side content
@RainGnyu PSO2JP treats SG as an incentive for the player to enjoy its side content and its a better game for it
for example, look at the challenge lobbies, they are completely empty, now imagine if there was something like "you can get 100 SG weekly for free so long you have enough challenge miles"
you can bet there would be a lot of people in alliances strategizing, planning everyones roles, efficient routes and such in order to get those miles, and when they get that outfit from the SG scratch they want it does feel as something you earned
and now comes PSO2NA, treating SG as a second "cooler AC", all the side content is dead, and the only satisfaction you get is "yeah, i paid for this"
and it is not about "they need to make money", as we have the perfect example on PSO2JP, where despite giving a lot of these resources for free, it is one of the most successful games on japan
@Archetype-Luna we would need the mobile games localized in order to do that
i don't see idola competing with FGO around here, specially not with pso2 locked to NA on microsoft store, not to mention the troubles of getting it to work
@JuggernautGTX all ways to earn sg in the JP server are limited per week
the big problem here is that at least for now, the NA staff have been showing little to no interest to make SG something you can earn, so until they announce otherwise we are kinda ignored here on this
that and the short span for the "2 scratches in one" makes really hard pulling that prize one aims for, specially if we have so few SG to spend on the first place
trust me, on the JP server, SG items doesn't feels like you didn't earned it
@JuggernautGTX on the JP server, SG wasn't introduced until episode 4, and that was on their mid 4th year
could you imagine, a free to play game sustaining itself for 4 years and a half without having a second cooler premium currency with account bound gacha items?
when it was introduced it also caused controversy within the japanese community, so sega changed it from cooler premium currency to the much needed incentive to play side content
so now we are complaining to achieve the same the japanese players did back in the day
@DHG-MumfordsSon said in SG Tickets are now official. Thoughts?:
Carry on crying over COSMETICS
if SG is only intended for cosmetics then make material storage free then
material storage is by far the most useful thing in the game
how about attack succesion ability, 4 dollars for the %0.073 chance sounds right to you?
to be fair i would be happy with any viable method to keep the material storage on without paying extra for it
