In any case, wouldn't said patch be an actual solution/option for players while SEGA sleeps on fixing the issue? Maybe make the Tweaker have an "apply fanpatch" option to just plaster over PSO2NA the JP translation.

I agree, they should have gone with a Megaservers approach. Even cross-region play/transfers should be allowed (the JP English community will be left stranded there otherwise as NA/Global grows). But I presume they might be leaving all that effort/improvements for New Genesis instead.

At this point, I'm so used to getting shafted just for being in PR, that all these issues weren't much of a surprise. But since I'm certainly a bit nostalgic for PSO, they do hurt a bit. I suppose SEGA just doesn't want our money

I agree, but to be fair, the whole game/SG situation is much more predatory on the NA-side, to the point JP-side seems less grindy overall.
