any new player tips video you would recommend? or tips in general , it all seems very convoluted and easy to mess up if i dont know what im doing.
Converse with fellow players
@Aster-Larkspur i still remember when they promised to launch globally pso2 8 years back lol. still, i think they could delay it a bit, just for a healthier game. that would also help to get on the pc player base good side, since they wont be feeling left behind.
do you guys think the game will be a lot healthier if we split the servers up to the point were we are on par with japan updates , and then merge xbox and pc? imo its going to be a disaster economy wise if we introduce pc players to the already launched xbox server. or at least wait until pc can catch up and build a healthy economy, then merge. opinions?
not really confirmed , but most likely yes. hence the windows 10 exclusivity
im sure everyone wants this game to succeed. so i express from a consumer point of view . money is so much valuable these days just because of how coronavirus is destroying the economy. i may be speaking for myself. but i dont have that much money to spend on games even if i wanted to, many others have lost their jobs. so spending on "premium" or quality of life features , to have a decent experience might not be in top of everyones list.
@WhiteKnightBlsm in worst case scenario NA servers become the new "ship 2" from jp servers (NA playerbase playing in japan servers) . and even then i think its a win to SEGA because i think veteran players will try and power farm , and spend a bunch of money thinking ahead.
PC will have to wait until launch since they use the same servers as XBOX One. Of what it seems like, Launch will be transitioned directly into, rather than having a break after XBOX's OBT.
this is more like wishful thinking than a statement. nothing is said nor confirmed regarding PC and i mean nothing.
@LockeKosta thank you for writing this for starters. Im not a game dev but ive plaued alot of mmo's in my time and it feels like pso2 is missing is very important areas.
My current major complaints are about:
Skill tree respec requires a player to spend money -Its a basic feature in literally all mmo's, they shouldn't be charging people for a basic feature
Trading (another basic feature in other games) is gated off to plauer who spend money -this is another basic feature that all mmo's just let their plauers do.
Cosmetic stuff is 100% fair game. Want to extend your inventory space or maybe or bank space for a couple bucks? 100% fair
But to ask players to shell out money for literally the most basic of features is beyond not okay.
They are trying to sell this game and its content to a western audience and the reality of the west is that if players start at lvl 1 and look at their inventory and see they cant trade without shelling out money, they are just going to uninstall instantly.
Ive had 3 friends already do this. People dont like feeling forced into a purchase for something that comes standard everywhere else.
imo this game is great and all, but this game is not marketed to begginers but veterans from jp servers as is. i really want to play this , but we are getting mashed with 8 years of content (diluded in patches until we catch up), people that played before in jp will blaze trough the content and control the market . my prediction is NA server population will be high on release then falter as soon as the quality of life like trading and skill respec catch up to players. i think NA players are less forgiving than JP in monetization (say gacha system ex.)
i concurr with your opinions. on the other hand why would someone port an 8 year old game to NA? ($$$$) i mean im glad i will get to play it . but im sure as hell not hype as i was 8 years ago. in the end all the people who really wanted to play this , already have in JP servers with max lvl accounts and all.
