@Nerzarn I feel it was always misleading for people to simply bring up the Japanese version of the NGS HEADLINE having dislikes initially before things sizzled out especially without mentioning the general sentiments of the comments. It comes off to me both as a potential trolling (global audiences disliking something that's not theirs), or simply a whole "we have gripes and so much to say" in a flood of comments especially on a broadcast that usually had audience interactions and user comments.
Considering that for Japanese players Phantasy Star Online 2 was much more than "just" an action game it makes sense to me that the whole combat-only focus so far that New Genesis has is a very big change for them. I would love to see features like the My Room/Team Room (Personal Quarters/Alliance Quarters) return and be fleshed out much more than they have been before. At the same time, I really do hope that Sega takes the sentiments (if not from global players, then from the Japanese players) to adjust the mechanics of the Gigantix fights and to adjust class balancing/performance more than they already have.
I totally agree, it's why I wanted to see a bit more than beyond a like/dislike bar. It makes sense culturally as Japanese do take personalisation very seriously when it comes to gaming. The game does have a bit less vanity at this time. As for the Gigantix front I imagine that mostly doesn't sit well due to their time constraints with working life and the campyness of gigantix farming.
