Just play God Eater or something from Platinum Games.
Being a potential PSO fan in the west is suffering.

@RomBinHood That is quite the escalation, but I guess you are a pro MS zealot? I thought my post was pretty neutral towards them.
For the sake of discussion/learning something new:
Can you tell me more about Themida? Seems to just encrypt code or something? Does not seem to be Denuvo tier, but I wouldn't know about Denuvo w/o others telling me about it.
I think everyone is still livid/disappointed that we silently got cancelled on over 5 years ago, and that there are tiny strands of P2W nonsense in the game today (+daily exp boost acquire rate, more powerful combat drinks if you are premium, MAG system too constrictive, etc...).
@RagnarokSlayer They went through all the trouble of recoding the game to require Win10 and their store. I don't think they'll back out so easily.
The Win Store platform helps to 'encourage' users to upgrade their OS to the latest version of Windows, helping adoption numbers and allows them to collect metrics on more-and-more machines.
Here's praying that PSO2 isn't shackled to having the latest Win10 release then.
There are still unresolved micro-stuttering issues with the latest updates across all games for many NVIDIA users.

"I am not unfamiliar with how to make games work, or buggy launchers, or early download issues. These are things that suck, sure, I hate having to dive into directories and rename a file or two to make stuff work, but… you know, it happens. It’s a problem that can arise.
So when I say that PSO2 is in a class by itself, I want it to be entirely clear that this is something next-level. This is probably the worst sort of launch installation experience I’ve ever had. And it has a pretty clear culprit."
@Shirokami07 Microsoft doesn't view a Windows 10 machine as yours.
A fresh Win10 install will be filled to the brim with metrics trackers (spyware) and a constant installing of bloatware (installing of random casual games from the Microsoft store) without the "owner's" permission.
I think they've fixed it now, but early on there were also a lot of issues with Windows updating whenever it felt like it, causing a lot of businesses to lose work, and people to be kicked off their machines in the middle of use.
@WarcraftCow They changed the code in the Western release in order to raise the minimum character height. Might be a typo in that code, or a bug that is just showing that message, though is unrelated.
On another note, any workarounds on using the Windows Store to get the first installation exe?
Keep on getting a 'there's a problem on our end, try again later' message.
Updating Windows 10 in order to play PSO2 would be like setting fire to your home in order to 'make it feel more spacious'.
@Aviarei Is getting past the install/play or Get button from the Microsoft Store just a matter of luck?
2330 yesterday "Problem on our end, try again later.", "There Was An Error".... 12AM, 1AM, 2:30AM, 1200-1530 today "Problem on our end, try again later."
@HallowFang72 Please tell me you have not downloaded all the updates? If not, see just how far back you are able to revert your version.
A lot of systems (esp NVIDIA ones) developed micro-stutter issues on versions after, but not including, 1607. Other than that, to get rid of auto-downloading casual games and whatnot, search Google to make the requisite registry edits.
You used to be able to use TB.RG to get older Windows ISOs w/ official Microsoft links, but everything pre-1800 seems to be gone now.
