@lunartear I probably should have clarified that for the context of the episode, it was Hitsugi and Kohri trying to live out their lives with an anime boy in that sort of anime scenario. I'm not personally fond of it myself but I do recognize that it is a "normal" thing in anime stories so it happening and coming up isn't so out-of-the-blue and unfortunately neither is a super-curious and jealous character (Xiera) who shamelessly spies on others and drags others into their antics. The fact that the Global version still at least references these twice later on (Casra chews out Xiera for it due to those video clips having protections put onto them, and Matoi is startled when it turns out that she and the Guardian were spied on during their "lunch break date" during the Sword Art Online collaboration) comes off to me that Sega didn't really think too much of these scenes either.
fair enough i just feel it was better we dont have that scene even if it gives development to her, though as for SAO i think theres some other parts during the story where xiera is shown watching other people. i cant remember something in specific but it's definitely implied in some form
