at the very least just checked swiki and it says:
Currently, the Bonus Key Tokyo [Rainbow] is not available from recommended quests.
guess that's good enough as a source for now.

is there any definitive answer/proof one way or the other from an official source?

I recall some patch note on JP about recommended quest rewards being updated when rainbow keys were added on jp, but I haven't seen a single report that someone got a rainbow key from one. So I'm pretty sure it doesn't.
I think some people have rumored the drop rate to be as low as 0.00001% or more. But if that's the case, it might as well not exist.
but if there's a chance gives a reason to do recommendeds i'd normally skip

The Wiki and two reddit threads for JP's version say they only come from Mission Passes and Campaigns.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PSO2/comments/iyrk3s/can_rainbow_tokyo_keys_drop_from_featured_quests/
https://pso2.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/Bonus_Keys
I'm also pretty sure some of Arks-Visiphone is datamined, because I noticed the English NA names for some weapons that only drop from Episode 6 content were added pretty much immediately on Ep6's release, and differ from the Fan Translation.
they've also dropped the ball on that kinda thing, like i had to spend a long time searching for a specific name of an emote in NA that had no number attached to it (Sonic/Tails 2).
wiki's generally aren't the 'best' source of information unless maintained by developers but for now I'll go under the assumption that rainbow keys don't drop until proven otherwise. I had thought I heard people found them in JP server from featureds before.

Aside from them being given out in campaigns, they should be in the Featured Quest reward pool.
Any verification they are in the recommended quest reward pool?
@RainGnyu said in I love this game but I will never be as good as you at it.:
I wasted 96 mil not knowing! Where does it say we can’t transfer S4 skill slots to other weapons beside Atlas?
Sega has pissed me off with this missed information! So
literally the 2nd page of each weapon shows which S's it can have.
@RainGnyu does your weapon of choice have an S4 slot? also S4:Lifesteal is capped at 30 life per hit so nowhere near as good as something like an elder pain.
Windows version sucks, switch to Steam. My Windows version wouldn't even install. Well... You have to reinstall on MS store first, grab the link code, then go to Steam and put link code in so a 2x in stall, but then no matter how many times windows updates you won't need to worry bout that breakin again.
@AvengingAndy said in Constant Error 630. No response from PSO2 server.:
I get this error basically at the end of every urgent quest after the boss dies, so I can never get any loot. At the moment with the dark falz apprentice UQ I can’t get to fight him because as soon as the tank shoots him in the face I get this 630 error pop up and get booted from the game. My internet is fine usually even when I play other mmo’s so I have no idea why this is happening so frequently on PSO2.
if you get it at the end of EVERY UQ, it's 100% your own connection. I see it happen maybe once every 17 ~ days.

@Neek oh, maybe or may not. I just always have 55 runs in stock since I only run it once per char when Faina has it for daily order.
so you can stock them if you don't do them and it goes up to 55? is that the same for global?
no
the cap on jp has always been 5 a day + the extra runs that they gave out as compensation for various extended maintenances
daily stock is always consumed first so if you never did more than 5 runs a day then it would look like the cap is higher
not sure I understand, so what is the cap then?
5 a day on jp, 10 a day on na
But do they stack or is it 10 max a day period no matter how long passes?
