RE: Please say it isn't so. New Genesis

I feel the need to post some things that I know from watching a lot of the CBT footage on youtube. I have not been able to play NGS in any capacity myself, but I know all of the following is correct.

  1. To get the skill point from the cocoon, you only have to complete it once. Period. Completing it that first time unlocks a skill point to be spent for all of your classes. (NOT just the class that you were playing when you completed the cocoon.)

  2. Cocoons are NOT just jumping puzzles and platforming. Over half of them are combat tests or offer an option path that bypasses all platforming in favor of combat.

  3. Skill points are less numerous than PSO2 classic. You'll need less than 10 points to max out what is currently every class skill tree. This means Cocoons aren't a large focus of the game. They're more tutorials that you find and do once and then don't return to unless you want to try for a better time/score.

@BloodyKyona We don't know any of the story in NGS as of now.

RE: Tired of The Emotional Abuse

@DELTAOTTER8 said in Tired of The Emotional Abuse:

but I was robbed of the opportunity to become better

No. You were not owed this. You cannot be robbed of something you were not entitled to in the first place.

It's not other people's responsibility to help you better yourself. That's all up to you and only you.

Due to your actions, it seems like they thought the best option they had to better their enjoyment of the game was to remove you due to your actions, and given the immaturity in that quoted statement, I would agree with them as you're implying this is not the first event something you have said or done has hurt the alliance as a whole and hindored their enjoyment of the game.

Walk away, pick yourself up, and learn from what you did wrong.

RE: Just post of a someone talk about console pso plz fix this

Currently in global, the Xbox version of PSO2 runs on Direct X 9. I'm pretty sure the graphics update brings that up to Direct X 11, which is pretty well known to have a metric ton of optimization benefits over Direct X 9. Assuming same hardware and no changes to what's being displayed (Textures/polygon count/Lighting) a game running Direct X 11 will always out preform a game running Direct X 9.

The new lighting engine likely has some issues of it's own, but once those are fixed we should have a smoother running game than base PSO2 on Xbox. I'm on the Xbox Series X and still run into some extreme stuttering and FPS loss when loading into blocks with high populations due to the console struggling to load in everyone's models. This gets fixed in the Direct X 11 version of the game.

RE: Im sorry but what is this

@GM-Deynger This issue here isn't that we feel items have been over valued. It's that we feel as though you are forcing us to pay for (What we feel are) necessary cosmetics in the case of the Aeros Face. It is a staple of good female cast looks, and is almost a requirement to have for female cast players. With the upcoming graphics update, this will be even more apparent as race isn't a distinction anymore. It will be that much more important to try and look more robotic if you want to be seen as a female cast. As it stands, the only real way to do that currently is through the Aeros Face.

The item itself, I feel, is not over valued. It's an extremely valuable item and should be rare. I feel that the rarity should not come from charging players $160 for it. It would have been much more favorable to make it a one-day-only fresh finds item that's rotated in (Maybe?) every six months.

RE: Im sorry but what is this

Aeros Face is something that female casts essentially need to get if they want to go full-robot. Locking it behind $160 and making it untradeable is horrible. I really hope they rethink this.

RE: NGS Personal Shop "Information" Elaboration

I'm actually okay with this, honestly. We knew the shop system would change, and this will hurt RMT quite a lot. I don't think I've ever searched for a specific person's shop other than just being curious what my alliance members were selling.

RE: I'm sick and tired of people "Waiting for NGS" and absolutely do nothing at all in PSO2.

@Yggranya Wait, are you seriously complaining about people with a show/music/podcast going on in the background as they run through an Urgent Quest or something?

RE: I'm sick and tired of people "Waiting for NGS" and absolutely do nothing at all in PSO2.

I played PSO2 pretty hard core back during episode 3-4. I dropped out during the hell scape that was the buster quest grind and now I'm soloing divide quests.

I'm going to be honest, this game is dated. It sucks. I enjoy the story, lore, and combat system, but the actual gameplay mechanics are really bad. The Buster Quest grind in Episode 5 showed me that much, and that's only exacerbated by the fact that no one plays my preferred style of content (12-man Risk Adventures) which meant that content was unplayable.

I'm mostly only biding my time and collecting cosmetic items for use in NGS due to those reasons. NGS looks extremely promising, which gives me drive to collect things in PSO2 until it releases, but that's all PSO2 is for me now. A way to farm for NGS-usable cosmetic items like CAST heads.
