All red walls block the rest of the world to us. Expect NGS to be massive on launch.
Just gonna reply to this now... No reason.
I'm at 1452BP, if that helps at all. Proof
The only real weakness seems to be their lack of AoE, and I can see how the game's current state leads people to believe they're weak. Almost every situation outside of Urgent quests calls for a large amount of AoE.
@Herald-of-Zenchi said in Twin daggers are one again...meh (so far). Thoughts?:
Twin Daggers are the best weapon design in NGS. Worst weapons are Talis and Launcher. Bad weapons are Partisan, Double Saber (damage is all behind the start of a single PA), Force and Rifle.
Talis can be really, really good with proper PP management (Force's class skill, basically.) It can fire off one of the best AoEs in the game and deal significant single-target DPS. Tricky Capacitor is really hard-hitting as well. With the weapon action adding to your DPS, you can actually mow down enemies faster than Fighter can in the right circumstances.
Launcher currently has the highest single-target DPS PA in the game. (Fear Eraser) and the best PP recovery through the weapon action. (The thing literally just straight up refills your bar to full from empty.)
Partisan is the second strongest Hunter weapon (First being Sword) and it doesn't miss first place by much. Once you have the skill points put into it, it becomes a fast-hitting AoE charge attacker with amazing burst damage through Volkraptor.
Double Saber has great DPS if you can keep the whirlwind going. It also has one of the best gap-closers in the game.
Rifle is the best ranged weapon in the game currently. I don't honestly know why you're saying it's bad. It has what is hands-down the best AoE PA in the game currently and the fastest firing normal attack for PP recovery. It's also one of the most mobile weapons as well.
@Aquila-ibis A really cool trick is to drain your PP with the launcher's beam (Fear Erasure) and then immediately re-fill with Rifle's grenade/trap then throw your sticky bomb. Start your launcher's beam again after that and your sticky bomb should go off mid-beam refilling your PP bar. This allows for a huge window of time where you're just holding down Fear Erasure and pouring out damage.
I have to agree with OP it very restricting for no reasons. Especially when we only have 3 PA per weapon. I wanted to fuse a rifle with a launcher but their in completely different series. This is a bad game design plan and simple. I'm sure when more weapons come out they'll fix this issue but as of right now is just poor game design on the devs part.
I've done this with the Resurger series Rifle/Launcher and I can confirm it's just as awesome as you'd think. Rifle's AOE through the homing shot and Launcher's single-target beam of death on the same weapon makes Ranger the most OP class in the game, in my opinion.
I feel the need to post some things that I know from watching a lot of the CBT footage on youtube. I have not been able to play NGS in any capacity myself, but I know all of the following is correct.
To get the skill point from the cocoon, you only have to complete it once. Period. Completing it that first time unlocks a skill point to be spent for all of your classes. (NOT just the class that you were playing when you completed the cocoon.)
Cocoons are NOT just jumping puzzles and platforming. Over half of them are combat tests or offer an option path that bypasses all platforming in favor of combat.
Skill points are less numerous than PSO2 classic. You'll need less than 10 points to max out what is currently every class skill tree. This means Cocoons aren't a large focus of the game. They're more tutorials that you find and do once and then don't return to unless you want to try for a better time/score.
but I was robbed of the opportunity to become better
No. You were not owed this. You cannot be robbed of something you were not entitled to in the first place.
It's not other people's responsibility to help you better yourself. That's all up to you and only you.
Due to your actions, it seems like they thought the best option they had to better their enjoyment of the game was to remove you due to your actions, and given the immaturity in that quoted statement, I would agree with them as you're implying this is not the first event something you have said or done has hurt the alliance as a whole and hindored their enjoyment of the game.
Walk away, pick yourself up, and learn from what you did wrong.
