I finally got my hands on a Lumignie today, which I was planning to have as my third Luster Gunblade... But I realized I don't fully know how it Miasmic Corruption works. It says it increases ailment affliction by 100% and that it will apply an ailment based on the element... So I end up with several questions...
Will it apply both the element ailment and augment ailment (like light gunblade with Freeze on it - will it randomly choose to freeze or panic? Or just panic? Or just freeze?)
What level of ailment comes from the ailment? 1-5?
What happens with various effects of Luster? Is it always technically the same element, but just style changes? Or does it technically remove the ailment and therefore the element ailment is lost? (esp: the charge shot thing)
So yeah, just trying to figure out the most interesting way to set up this weapon. All help is appreciated.
Alright, cool, thanks for all the info!
So I haven't really been following along with the crafting/gathering process in NGS. My understanding is one of the sources for materials will be the Tames in world. And in the video this morning, it said Gathering is hard tied to "weapon enhancing cycle" (Source https://youtu.be/-oEiNezv71c?t=2538)
Personally, I do my damnedest to avoid hurting any non-hostile AI in any game. And this goes even more so for wildlife. I like to treat them with respect and, where mechanics allow it, befriend them.
It's just the way I play.
Now, what I want to know... If I refuse to ever hurt these Tames, am I going to have fundamentally weaker weaponry?
I love the action gameplay in these games, and I would be rather put off if I'm hard required to slaughter animals in order to effectively participate in high level enemy engagements.
Nier collab looks fantastic, but as Male Cast main, I feel like I'd really only long term use the stickers and camos. And I kinda want all of them. Price tag is a bit much for that... Is any of that going to be sellable in player store? Trying to figure out how I can manage the extra bits I won't use if I do spring for one, or how to get the extra stickers since I probably won't buy all 3.
The only premade control scheme for XB controllers (as far as I could tell anyway) having only face buttons to attack... While this control scheme feels fine for melee attacks, I wasn't a fan while using ranged attacks. And then if I was trying to use the manual aiming mode? No way.
I felt it necessary to switch over to using LT, RT and RB for attacks, with LB to shift to the second action panel. This definitely made me feel better about shooting, and actually I felt more in control of the camera even for melee builds.
I believe this extra control scheme will help players who are more used to games like Halo, Gears of War, Fortnite, and Call of Duty to approach the game. Custom remapping controls is something players rarely are willing to do when starting a new game.
I definitely like the idea of button chords as on option while remapping controls.
I did completely remap my controls to be attacking with triggers and bumpers, but I felt like there was always one or two things I would like access to occasionally that I just had to leave out... the map toggle as one example. I don't want it too often... But there is the rare occasion where I'd like to pull it up. But there's really just no space for it on the controller.
