Wow. I collected Alpha Reactors every day. It was one of the main reasons I even logged on anymore. I bet for many others it was too. This will alter the numbers of people who login even further.

I'm hoping that an alternative pops up in the place of the forums. My guess is that NGS forums will open after an interim.
I know people here like to poo-poo the idea that this game will have any sort of longevity, but my guess is that Sega thinks it will. In order to supplement that longevity I'd imagine they would put up an NGS specific forum after some time.
The forums serve a function that Discord and Reddit do not. My guess is that they are trying to streamline some of the moderation issues we have today until they have NGS forums up and running with proper moderation.
I'm optimistic, though this game's history thus far proves I shouldn't be.
I feel your pain about the pp regen. If it's any consolation, the blue collectisigne restore 5 pp each when picked up. If you manage to get a few while dashing it might ease your troubles.
@Drakaina I'd imagine that several things are at play:
I am a bit giddy at the news that SAs will be re-enabled. I will finally (again) be able to send well-timed and appropriate kitty emotes. I was about to spend an ungodly amount of SG just to get the Ran Stamp. I know some of my alliance members that are artists may even come back. Best news to come of this game in some time.
I also look forward to the implementation of selective blocking of SAs from users. In the past, I had to outright block/mute users in order to not see their hentai SAs. This new function enables me to give these users a sort of benefit-of-the-doubt scenario in which they may be SA spammers but helpful in quests, or perhaps fun to talk to otherwise.
The show or hide online status change is somewhat of an odd one. I am currently able to disable and re-enable those settings in game....I think? Perhaps I am wrong though...I do remember seeing the ability to change what I see over player's head from the quick menu on XBox-like alliance membership or level- though this might not be in the game yet. It will certainly help block out the more notorious online statuses I see roaming around on Ship 3 (a certain 'hentai oppai loli' comes to mind).
I enjoy the aesthetic of the landscape and the way your character interacts with it. I think they did a stellar job in that regard. I find myself looking forward to seeing what they will do for different seasons and/or holidays.
I am a bit disappointed that the seasonal event doesn't offer that much 'new' to gameplay and roleplay other than a change in elemental weaknesses, 1 stamp, and 1 or 2 new accessories.
I do enjoy the Frostel weapons. Like the Glissen series however, the lack of every weapon type isn't great. It seems to defeat the idea of multiweaponing, and makes their inclusion moot for those who don't use the available weapons. There still isn't an elemental Partisan, Twin Daggers, or Rifle weapon of either type. I am personally sad that knuckles, partisan, and rifle do not have Frostel versions.
I for one am hoping Bouncer gets something akin to Switch Strike in their Skill Tree so that I can play Fi/Bo Fists/JB without too much pain with augments.
I am also looking forward to Bo/Fo, Te/Bo, Bo/Fi, and Bo/Gu possibilities. It's nice having some new options for multiweapon gap closers.
@Miraglyth I'm referencing your post above.
What makes the situation even more dire is that I know plenty of people who use 15 to 20 accounts to farm weekly meseta, not just red box. To get those weekly rewards, you gotta do that new UQ/farm regions and get a couple pse runs, which takes time ofc.
If Sega is using some other metric than just a short login, these farm accounts are boosting numbers by quite a bit.
And who knows how many of those accounts Sega are looking at are RMT farmers as well.
Every so often, when I go to the 'Whisper' part of chat, my whole chat client does not allow me to switch to any other chat mode (such as Alliance or General chat).
I can exit the chat menu and operate the rest of the game as normal, but when I go back to the chat window, the Whisper chat is all that works. I also must manually find the user's name to receive a whisper in a different menu (nearby characters or alliance members list, anywhere really) but I cannot manually type in the name.
I have been having this issue since the release of NGS, but it happens infrequently. To date, it has happened only 4 times. The next time it happens I will try to reply in detail the steps that got me to the bug. I suspect it has something to do with switching between Alliance Chat and Whisper Chat, but I have nothing else to go on.
I am on Xbox.
I have had the same happen to me. During a storm, I was trying to find a populated room that had the PSE meter non-activated so that I could be there for the initiation of a PSE for my weekly meseta rewards. I went to 4 different rooms and each, in turn, already had a PSE going on; the 4 PSE icons remained even when I left the area and went to another part of the map, including Central City. Only reloading my game solved the issue.
It seems that if you leave a room while a PSE is ongoing, there is a chance that the icon remains. I have tried doing this on other occasions to see if I could replicate the issue, but the PSE icon does not always remain. There might be something else to this bug.
