RE: Wanna know why shop is down and why prizes suck? PN6761104884

@NIC said in Wanna know why shop is down and why prizes suck? PN6761104884:

I would like to add that apparently this has been a thing SINCE AS EARLY AS MARCH, and Sega is only acting on it now. They could have acted on it months ago, but waited.

They probably should have restricted trade sooner.

Well at least it's being fixed as opposed to not with zero repercussions gloating about having duped items in lobbies like back in the PSO1 days.

Also totally agree with OP on having community driven "block"lists. I know to completely ignore the guy thanks to this. Changed or not the people that have harassed someone or cheated and someone has video evidence of it deserves being reported publicly and privately. Learn from your mistakes and move on just in case you aren't banned or delt with the community will know who to look out for and stay away from.

But no, let's require shady editing of a photo, or doctoring, before being able to post about someone publicly breaking ToS.

But videos of player names and tampering is fine. At least there the videos are hosted on a site that can't be taken down.

RE: Average day in PSO2

@plamplight said in Average day in PSO2:

@Shirokami07 Wow 1300 hours! That's not very much. The PSO games are effectively just sci-fi diablo games with a social element, if you don't have fun just running around fields killing monsters and collecting loot (even if the loot isn't direct progression to your characters power) these really aren't the games for you.

You have to realize this content was originally spaced over several years, and content was trickle fed at a significantly slower rate and people still played religiously. Even back in the PSO days, when the game launched that was it as they had no "meaningful" way of updating the game and yet people still clocked tens of thousands of hours without issue.

Not very much..? Gaming was my biggest hobby back in my teens and I thought having over 1000 hours in PSO was a crapton.

I've been playing PSO2 almost exclusively since March and I have 160 hours in it. Where do people find the time? I work a lot, not by choice, but even then far too many other things keep me from gaming especially getting through all of PSO2's content.

I'm not even talking about affixing. Just grind it to +30 and each unit to +10. That's the bare minimum you can do.

@Kwars01 said in Do not join Super Hard (or Higher) UQ/Content without upgrading your gear first.:

tbh the grinding system in this game is trash fuck you bud, i aint doing shit for the likes of you.

thats the answer to your question that you can expect from a player who spends most of his time being dead on the ground

@AgentRedStar said in Do not join Super Hard (or Higher) UQ/Content without upgrading your gear first.:

@Cathy Yeah? That sounds fun. Maybe in future update this matching making system might matter but right now, as the NA gamer version is, there is no need to worry about who joins your groups. Every player can kill magatsu all 5 times by joining a random pug group, defeat elder, profound, and apprentice. Yamato is a joke also. I mean I've never failed any mission on this game and I have over 1000 hours game time. Because of that, this thread, is amusing to me.

good that everything is a joke for you....but i rather have geared people doing lv 85 ultimate bosses than some trash people with a +2 sigma bazooka spamming auto attacks....not too much to ask to get geared for at least ultimates - if you do 0 dps and spend most of your time dead on ground then youre not supposed to be doing a quest you are in...as simple as that

Is this what one would call a gate keeper?

Haha so anyway UQ's are fun

In all seriousness I keep seeing phrasing like 'grinf out your gear to +30,' I've done all of Juan's quests but it's been months, and I've been using the same weapon for ages and it doesn't just gain levels. Do you go to one of the shopping plaza vendors to upgrade gear? Do you need other weapons of similar value to increase? Thanks

RE: Bot Spammers ruining the game

@Aishtha said in Bot Spammers ruining the game:

The bots are getting more aggresive. They discovered the command for the loud sound on message so now each time they spam they also make a loud sound.

Just came here to state this. Since APRIL, these bots have been active, doing the same routines, saying the same exact things.

Last week I started getting whispers.

This morning, one was spamming their Garbo with the loud exclamation sound over and over and over.

Yeah, I blacklisted and reported, but they're going to get craftier.

@GamerKillance said in regarding the censorship BS on the steam forums...:

Oh hey its the guy who spammed threads, harassed others and endorsed pedophilia because "not real" on the steam forums. Ended up getting banned from the steam forums.

Pretty sure you won't get sympathy here.

This in regards to the OP.

There are some genuine posts here though, specifically the one in top of page 2 referencing current discussions and suggesting a support ticket.

RE: regarding the censorship BS on the steam forums...

Treos is mad the mods on Steam are temp banning him when he goes off on liking underage content. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1056640/discussions/0/2794999486594567629/?ctp=21#c2798377275381662751

Can't even find his original post, it was probably deleted by him or mods. But you can see what he says here.

He also gangs up on players with two other trolls, at one point I saw all 3 of them were banned. Wonder why?

RE: Report option for RMT

Consider this a bump. Really wish there were volunteer mods or something that can hit a few buttons and perma-ban the IPs or gamertags. I get a spammer could easily use a VPN or something but I'm getting really sick of the meseta seller spam in every lobby.

I made a post in another topic in GD but I've seen two types of bots:

One spams their website while sticking around for 10 seconds in every block. The next 10 seconds they slowly walk to the block switch room and bounce to another block. So for 20 seconds they spam each block.

The other type just stays indefinitely in one block spamming their meseta website every 1 to 4 minutes randomly. Really wish there were a hole in the ship you could push them out of. If not perma-deleting them then forcing a prompt that says "paste one message 5 times consecutively to perma-ban your account" LOL.

RE: Do something about these meseta sellers!

I'm really disappointed with the lack of moderation in the lobbies. Sexual symbol chat, meseta sellers or "gold sellers" as they're referred to in other games, and, well, that's about it. Doesn't sound like much but consistently I've seen two types of bots:

One type is programmed to switch blocks every 20 seconds. After 10 seconds it will start walking towards the block switch room slowly, spamming its meseta selling website the entire time.

The other type walks to a designated location and spams every 1 min to 4 mins randomly.

Both fill the screen and character limit in caps lock on their crap.

The only reason this is such a big deal to me is I was very much against cheaters in the original PSO games, and they were rampant. I understand back then, online games were in their infancy, and many companies were just getting their feet wet with this style of game.

Nowadays there really should be tool integrated to combat something like spammers. I get that a lot of this programming originated in Japan and the Canada/Stateside admins have a lot to tangle with, but to see them constantly advertise many times multiple ones in a lobby is extremely infuriating!

Is there anything volunteers can do to combat this besides reporting in-game and on Xbox Live? Can there be an additional report feature that looks for a constantly string of letters like "WWW" or "SELL" or look at something on the backend that's copy/pasting?

I thought I was clever pushing one into the Gateway Ship area but either pushing players is only client side and not global or they somehow have a way to dodge the menu that pops when you go to that area.

Thanks for reading!

RE: Guide: Dont be this guy

If I could post a picture here I would, but this was #2 on my Google news feed. I've never posted in the forums but love the hell out of the game. Being required to doctor and edit a photo before you post is outlandish to me. I stopped going to most forums largely due to this issue, and honestly out of most gaming communities altogether.

I'm going to explain something here. There are far worse people on online games, OP. Sounds like in this case, you played big boi ball and exchanged light hearted insults and got the reward for it. Accept the kick and move on.

There are people in certain communities that threaten, harass, insult(and not like the example above, no, far more toxic than that), and deface gamers with zero consequences. They are protected by the "no name shaming" rule, when reporting rarely gives them a slap on the wrist if any warning at all, let alone any type of ban, so you'd think it'd be up to the community to moderate itself, but you have extremely odd rules that require one to doctor photos before uploading. If I were the admin, I'd call into question ANY of the posted material if the screen cap were touched at all.

A that being said, this is just a bunch of nothing. If they didn't block you just message them and apologize or say hey we were both wrong because (reasons posted by other members above).
