Gilhess until Serpen. Serpen (unforunately) invalidates all other JBs; even the other ones that have more damage per vinto.

But wouldn't Bo/Hu not be able to benefit from Gilhess' niche?

It can. Just not as much as BoFi or BoSu, but still overall it'd have better performance results.

RE: Why doesn’t decorating your room give you a buff in game?

@GHNeko said in Why doesn’t decorating your room give you a buff in game?:

I legitimately don't think it's a good idea to penalize people who don't want to decorate a room that was not supposed to be a pivotal part of the game's flow in the first place.

On top of that, you're forcing people to participate in the market to get the decorations and then the stats they want. As if you havn't had enough abuse from the affixing market, you want affixing 2 to rob ya'll of your hard earned money?

Really don't think this is a suitable idea for how the game is designed right now.

Considering I didn't get a response, I just wanted to re-iterate this post of mine and then draw further emphasis to the severity and implications that something that OP's idea can have.

Rather than talking about OP's intentions and whether or not he's trolling/baiting; I think it'd be more productive to talk about why something like this is potentially dangerous and how the cons out weigh the pros.

A request like this is frivolous at best and don't really bring much to the game outside of its downsides for little benefit.

@GHNeko I would love to reach out to them and see if they'd be willing to submit some stuff.

@Akonyl Aye, videos are required and without one a run will not be accepted. I hope one day I can get a good laugh from someone submitting a clearly spliced/illegitimate run. I also hope I can be awed by a genuinely amazing run.

Currently, I'm thinking of ways to add Endless Quests because I'm sure they'll be popular. Unfortunately, since they are score based, it is proving more difficult than I had thought. Perhaps setting a certain score goal (determined by the community) to achieve in X time. For example, say the score goal is 5 million. The speedrun would be how fast you can get to 5 million. It may be hard to keep track of though with the time additions and what not without a separate timer, but since I chose to use in game time to battle hardware differences, this wouldn't really work either.

endless will quickly become about who has the high score, not the time, as people learn and improve at both of them. time is pretty meaningless since it just translates to more score with players who know what they're doing.

Speedrun categories prefer time over score. Score ends up being a fixed amount. Like with the 100% and any% categories of RPGs. So it's unlikely we will have a score leaderboard, especially on a site dedicated to recording times, not score. If you want a score-centric system like speedrun.com, you'll just have to make your own scorerun dot com or something.

do... do you know why it's called endless quest? score is not fixed LOL

Awfully condescending for not understanding his post. He's saying that it's easy enough to arbitrarily make a speedrun category like "1,000,000 points" (or any other fixed amount, 5mil, 10mil, whatever) and then speedrun how fast it takes for someone to reach that score, rather than only checking runs where people run until they time out (however long that may take).

Speedrun games oftentimes have multiple categories people run with different goals that take different amounts of time, so that you can still have a competition with shorter time investments/etc (and if it takes an hour+ to finish out an endless at the high end, that'd be too much of a time commitment for a lot of people).

If that's the intent, then it still wouldnt be a good idea because aside from interval stages, the stages and orders for said stages you get are randomized.

I do understand that there are plenty of RNG heavy categories, but this one is seriously intense and wont be popular enough of a category on its own since you have different classes, different gear, different affixes, stage rng, enemy ai rng, and stage order rng. Very few games if any have such rng heavy categories that are also worth time attacking.

Generally categories get made when there is support behind them. I'd be hard pressed to find many people support that category.

Can't wait for hack tool kiddies to fuck it up.

luckily its pretty easy for experienced TAs to tell when someone is hacking in TAs. There have been various instances of cheating in JP and basically everyone who is experienced in the TA community found it out each time simply because of how much they know and understand about the game.

RE: Speedrunning

oh this is sick for EN. the JP Time Attack community exists specifically on twitter and yt so I don't think you'll get accurate entries there but still good stuff.

Being able to buy class cubes was a feature we got SEVERAL years ago. Long before transplant passes. The fact you guys dont have it is unfortunate and feels like a gaffe.

That being said, considering the rate of how fast you can level up a new class once you get close enough to end game and the time period of which you have to cap on passes in a month is pretty generous. On top of that, efficient usage of passes requires at least 2 months of saving so there is no rush and general casual play will be fast enough to get what you need as long as your diligent.

I'm not saying grinding every day, but having a set schedule where you do the bare minimum most days of the week should be more than enough to make sure you pace yourself responsibility enough to get all the passes you need without fear of missing out. End gamer players get all 40 passes within 10 mins of the new cycle since we have a stockpile, but ya'll would be good too.

Explain please how you do your schedule?

Unfortunately, since I play primarily JP; I dont think you can copy my method. I don't play all the classes. All I do is do my weekly missions for my 2mil meseta per character and then spend 1.6mil to by 10 class cubes for classes I don't play. I end up spending between 3-5mil a month for all the class cubes I need, so when the cycle finishes, I instantly exchange my class cubes for passes and go about my day.

If you want a methodology for EN, then honestly, save up your keys, get your unplayed classes to 75 (do not unlock level cap), and do your featured quests for bonus keys and on your characters that have classes capped to 75, you overlevel for your cubes and keep them in storage. It's more efficient to do it on PSO2 Day for easier level as well. It's pretty hands off and doesnt require good gear or anything.

Is thier significant rewards lockex behind it or just epeen stroking?

Significant rewards unfortunately

Technically true, but rewards are not locked behind progress or scores. The words you're posted so far are implying that you have to play endless and get really far in order to get good shit when this isnt true.

While class balance is slanted towards particular builds, that has nothing to do with the drops. I farmed endless for drops a lot, but I never even bothered with attempting a single lap and I still got tons of good drops from reaching a certain point (in a casual manner mind you) and leaving my desk to do something else and let the timer run out.

The high score aspect of endless is a community challenge oriented thing. The only objective rewards you get from reaching score milestones is titles and the rewards from titles, which is just a small chunk of SG (think around 200ish). Not only that, but regardless of your class choice, as long as you're in a party you can still make it far and rewards are also not based off of party comp, so 4 man and solo get the same rewards.

Of course, you're more likely to get more stuff the longer you play in a single run but that's by virtue of fighting more shit that has drops. So if you want to farm efficiently, then yeah it'll help to be able to run 1 lap to technically fight everything that drops what you want.

Deadass tho bro? It aint that deep. It's non essential content for anyone not aiming to live in end-game or engage in community driven score attacks. Sega has never held an endless oriented event and has always been treated as a side thing at best.

While the endless quest complaints will likely come, make sure that when you make threads like this that your a bastion of good discussion.
