I just tried this. It worked for me. The weapon owner cancel pass (from the excube shop) works on 13 star weapons, but for some reason it says in the description only works for up to 12 star weapons.
Good tip! I did not know this but it is helpful. Thank you for sharing.
One more thing I just found out about. If you used a triboost/EXP/rare drop booster, but then want to PAUSE the timer on these boosters, you can do so by going to the medical terminal or npc, buying a potion BUT select the box at the top that says pause. This way you can go into a zone to do gathering or complete client orders, and save the boosts for when you are in a leveling group.
This is how it is done. 2 step process. To start, get a bunch of fodder with "junk affixes". All you have to do is use junk low level affixes stuff like "might I". Can also use augmentation aids if needed, goal is to just add slots, type of affix does not matter. Then stop when you have to right amount of slots. For step 2, Then you put on the affixes you actually want for that weapon. If you have low augments like "might I" then they transfer 100%, except there is a penalty when upslotting so it would go down to 90%. You can safely get around the penalty (remain at 100% success) by using the support item "augmentation aid +10/20/30/40%". With this strategy you can upslot to 5 slots, all 100%, assuming you have both low level augments, and assuming you have a 40% aug aid when upslotting 4 slot to 5 slot, (If you didn't use the 40% booster for 4 to 5 slots it would be 60% success). If you went from 5 to 6 slots using a 40% aug aid and same affixes they would all be 95%. So you can gamble on 6, but with 5 slots you can guarantee it will be a success. Also In the future they will add more higher % aids and also have affix boost days for added 5-15% success.
I personally stick to 5 slot for now to stay safe, as the final can always be 100%, and 5 slot fodder is more affordable then 6 slot. Also, Try to have 100% success for the Final affix if your gear, if you want to stay safe-only because If it fails you will loose those fodder and affix booster so it will be a big waste of resources and meseta. Personal choice. Many would gamble on less than 100%, which I think is fine for hurried upslotting, but not for the final upslot.
@Damesis If you are not 75 yet. Always try to pick up client orders (that reward EXP) for killing enemies and bosses in the zone you are about to go into. This will increase how fast you level up. Also Cofey client orders as needed. And the skill point client orders from your class coach (+14 available per class). And always have both exp boosters and triboosts up during vhaq/shaq for faster exp. VHAQ/SHAQ modes themselves also give Higher exp. You should pick a main class and a subclass and plan to at least get both of those to level 75. Gunner/fighter or gunner/hunter. You can do it all on one character. Can play all classes on one tune. Benefit to multiple characters is to try playing as different race, a bit of extra storage, and at level 50+ can get extra copies of the weekly order: earn 200k meseta and receive 1mil meseta (which is easily done by turning in mining items like naevershroom, wopal shell, ect to yerkes in Franca's cafe, transfer items between characters using default storage tab). Getting a class to Level 75 on a class adds permanent stat boosts to that character, and I think all the characters on that account?..since the titles are shared. You can look up what the boosts are and decide if it is worth your time. For example having a level 75 gunner adds +40 ranged attack boost to any other class I play as. Get some rings for your class and get them to +20. Affixing stat boosting traits onto your armor and weapons is a big part of the end game, but I would not worry about that until after your reach level 75 and can be complex at first. Priority should be to level up to 75, and also get a good weapon so you can at least access all of the content. Good Luck.
If you are still leveling and not yet in end game, I would say obtain a elder rifle +30/35 as soon as possible. The 30% moving snipe potential is very strong. Elder rifle is certainly good to use until 75. Once you are 75, and have a 75 subclass, and a 200 mag, and decent armor set with a few affixes, and now playing extra hard. Maybe think about switching to nemesis or slave shooter as they have higher base damage, and have that 17% damage potential, so as far as I know that makes it best in slot rifle currently. But if your elder rifle is +35 and has 5+ slot with good r-att boosting augments then it would most likely be okay for now. Heck I've seen people using nox weapons on extra hard.
