@XenoBladeX37645 Having him is actually beneficial to the game as it allows us to slowly make progress to the current end game gear. An example would be the Austere series back in EP3 (JP). It took us a good amount of effort to get the materials, which I'm going to try and remember:
Need an invade weapon as the base, drop only and trade in for stones (drop rates for items were nothing like global had, stuff was much rarer and an example could be the first 14 star weapon batch we got with Mother)
Profound caligula stones (dropped from PD only)
Dark nero fragments (dropped from the Falz type enemies like Elder, Loser, Angel, etc)
Both Ult Naberius and Lillipa had stones, I forget the names
You needed 3 types of spellstones from Extreme quests, each type would come from a specific one. IIRC: Completing the last floor would yield the most progress so we would have to climb through all the levels again, I could be wrong though, it has been several years.
Excubes, not much of a problem due to Mining base 4, Magatsu and PD giving us a decent amount each time.
Also, lambda grinders were a bother since these were OT weapons (weapons that can delevel when you enhance them and it was about 100-200K meseta per grind or something, it was painful).
Now, while this may be overwhelming for some, a bunch of us went and got our Austere weapons because they were worth getting and it was the best gear at the time. It allowed us to set a goal that we can see our progress for instead of spamming a quest and praying to RNG. An example from my experience would be Mother triggers, we did 100 of them in a single session and all we got was 1 spread needle amongst all the players. I'm sure it was a similar situation for Deus and the second batch of 14 star weapons.
TLDR: Craftman is good for game because he lets us see our progress to our gear upgrades instead of relying on so much RNG for a drop.
