Actually bots aren't that big of a problem to actual players(AKA jobless grinders). They really only effect and threaten the whale economy. It forces y'all to lower your crazy prices that supports your gambling habit. In order to compete with the little guys and maintain your top dog status you don't deserve.
Have any of you snobs ever thought of why these bots were created in the 1st place? This is basically the game stop stock situation. Wall street(whales) are mad at players(AKA grinders) for doing the same as them lol. Man I saw a shop with over $200 worth of scratches in it. 3x the cost of the game(an 8 year old game). Bots wouldn't be a thing if AC scratch items were actually obtainable in game(releasing them after they're basically irrelevant don't count, so don't even bring this up lol). Supply and demand. They seen a toxic economy, so they provided an alternative. Then restless grinders ran to them.
AC scratch should have remained exclusive. This never goes over well in online multiplayers. If this would have stayed cosmetic it wouldn't be all that bad. But they added stuff like receptors, 55% - 75% affix boost, augment insurance 5 - 8 slots, etc etc. This is why the player shop is a must have for like 3/4 of the player base. Like someone said free players are the reason why this game is still going lol. They're the majority of the player base. Without them you only have a handful of premium players to support your gambling habbit/farm rares for you.
I think you fail to realize one augment isn't gonna boost you to the top of the chain in PSO2, the game is absolutely F2P and you can get around augments with skill alone, the removal of shop sales isn't by any means P2W as you don't need the shop to progress or get game related stuff, I understand why people would be annoyed by them removing the passes , but to shift the blame on to whales that are the primary source of income is kinda scummy since non-paying players for some reason feel entitled to everything & anything.
In it's entirety this smells like someone not knowing what they're talking about and clearly trying to cope with the current status quo, I'm gonna repeat it once again this game and NGS are fully free to play, the only thing premium did in PSO2 was provide Convenience not advantage, micro-transactions are what keep Free to play games afloat and running.
One more thing, you can't sell SG items because it is incredibly easy to get SG in PSO2 and in NGS you get free rolls every day.
