I have a friend who seems to be unable to unlock Hard mode. He's level 30, and has done Afin's client orders and forest exploration, but Cofy's client orders list looks like this.

I was able to unlock Hard difficulty a long time ago myself but I have no idea how to get the Difficulty Trial order to show up for him, and can't find any straight answers online. Help please.
