I love this scratch. More SS incoming with the Idola Card-boxes on Sunday when i get the rest of the stuff i need from it.
Veteran from PSO2JP. Been playing since Episode 2 and maining Techter ever since Episode 5. Despite what it may look like playing Techter effectively has a lot of depth and if anyone needs any help you can reach out to me any time.
I'd like to point out that while Te/Ph might be the most popular choice (at least rn in JP it is) Te/Et and Te/Lu shouldn't be underestimated.
Also in terms of weapons, Atlas Ex and Trailblazer will get upgraded potentials however farming the necessary stones for them will take a while and by the time that content releases you'll have plenty of time to farm for a Rivarate Weapon which is is easily better because at the same time Atlas and Trailblazer gets the updated potential, Riv gets one too, making it A tier strong.
As for 15 star weapons...
I hope once Techter eventually gets the Overhaul it needed years ago in NGS it'll be a more fun class to play.
I'm going to stand by Bouncer being cut from NGS until said otherwise. Since with no JAs, Hero TMG is made redundant by Ranger Rifle, so that's obviously being cut.
Jet Boots Bouncer is honestly what Techer should've been in the first place but I'd imagine they might still try their hands at a Melee magician. They didn't mess up phantom but its possible Techter will just be Wand Etoile with Techs.
You did a great job with your guide Cathy, you should feel proud! As for a Techer overhaul in NGS... I am quite afraid of what SEGA might do to my dear Techer, cause all I want to do is beat enemies with my explosive bonk stick, that's literally it.
@VanillaLucia Oh yeah absolutely. The most fun i had with Techter is when i used Steam Input to make Button Combinations and a Weapon wheel since PSO2 doesn't natively support any of these.
A lot of Bloat could also easily be fixed with just making Jet Boots bouncer styled weapon action in order to map multiple actions onto a single button. Etoile's Weapon action for example is a Zero Nabarta & AoE Heavy Hammer in one but instead on TE those are 2 separate buttons and charging up Heavy Hammer doesnt even give us protection while Zero Nabarta just eats through our PP like crazy instead of consuming Focus Meter like Etoile. I think You can already see Wand gameplay in the distance in the NGS trailer and it really looks like NGS Te might be just Etoile but with Technique access and them playing exactly like Force's Techniques.
Updated my Guide
This might unfortunately be the final update to the guide. It's 80 Pages long and I'm very unsatisfied with how Sega neglects Techter in current content over on JP. At most you'll see me change grammar / terminology as Global catches up more and more with JP. NGS being like 6 months away (And TE sub forum being basically dead) also doesn't build enthusiasm in keeping the guide up-to-date (if we're even gonna get more PSO2 Content once NGS comes out). NGS looks like a lot of fun though and I hope once Techter eventually gets the Overhaul it needed years ago in NGS it'll be a more fun class to play.
