RE: Help with mag build

@UnbaggedUglyBob You only go with DEX if you are using Bouncer, Braver, or Phantom since they have Mag Skills that convert the DEX into multiple PWR stats (MEL and TEC for Bo, MEL and RNG for Br, and MEL, RNG, and TEC for Ph).

RE: Help with mag build

@UnbaggedUglyBob Def on a Mag is not really important, especially as you get higher and higher in level with better equipment, and it is always best to use a full single-PWR Mag (or full DEX if you are Bo, Br, or Ph) because PWR that you get from a Mag is added to your base stats; not only does that mean you can equip weapons earlier, but that PWR is also subject to being further increased by things like Shifta and Shifta Drink.

If you are concerned about your defense, then you should focus on unlocking Etoile to use as your subclass as it basically makes Ranger a tank thanks to its damage reduction skills.

RE: Help with mag build

Optimally, you would want to make a pure RNG Mag for Ranger, so you have a couple of options:

  1. Buy a new Mag (300AC) and level it it exclusively to be RNG.
  2. Buy enough Mag Level Down Devices (5 Excubes each) to reduce any stat that isn't RNG; keep in mind that they won't make your Mag drop below lv100, so you may have to keep leveling up RNG first before you can get all of the excess stats off.

RE: Link Steam to Xbox Series S

All you need to do is sign in to your XBox with your MS account, since they are the same account. That's it, no need to link anything.

RE: Ask a veteran ARKS!

@zaffy2005 Phantom is actually great at "pure" Tech usage, and that is in fact one of the most efficient styles of playing it (combined with detonating your Markers and dodging for Counters/PP recovery). Its casting speed and PP cost reduction more than make up for the lowered damage multiplier, and because it doesn't rely on any sort of elemental-based Skill, you have more freedom with your Tech use, though you will likely find specific Techs that are more efficient for the situation.

RE: Ask a veteran ARKS!

@zaffy2005 Plain and simple, Phantom as a sub is not going to get you an all-element style build because of the lack of half of the Masteries. Basically, it is an upgrade/sidegrade of a Fighter sub; that means for Force, you focus mostly on Lightning Techs with some situational Ice and Fire, and for Techter, it is still a mostly Melee build with viable Tech-usage.

RE: Lookbook stats reset.

Lookbook stats are per character and they are saved per character, even when switched out.

RE: support.pso2.com down? 2nd password reset

Odd; now that I'm logged in there, I can head straight to support.pso2.com with no issue.

Maybe it's a browser problem? I'm using Firefox 84.0.2 (64-bit), but I'll go ahead and do a quick check in a couple of others.

EDIT: It's the exact same for Chrome, Edge, and Vivaldi on my end; as soon as I am logged in, I can just manually go straight to the support site, though the auto-redirect that used to happen is no longer happening.

RE: support.pso2.com down? 2nd password reset

I just checked it out, and it didn't automatically redirect me to the support page after the log-in page like usual, but after I logged in, I was able to get there by hitting the Player Support link just beneath the "Sign Out" button:

RE: Reset skill tree pass

@uaguiaru They did at one point sell single Skill Tree resets, but they cost 1000AC (double the cost of an additional Skill Tree), but they eventually removed them and replaced them with a slightly more convoluted, but "free"-ish, option, though it does still require the purchase of an additional Skill Tree first.

Now, after you buy an additional Skill Tree, you can reset it using SG by using the Move Skill Tree option; each move is 100SG, which you can earn for free, or buy directly.
