@plamplight said in Who is the true problem?:
I'll just be honest with you, the true problem is the Block 2 players.
ouch sometimes b1 is full! haha

Grind for hours and hope for a couple of 13* items to sell / use?
imo that's about it haha but then again I just don't find much else very entertaining...that's just me lol farm, sell, fashion -- that's the cycle I've been following since May D'8
For some classes, correct positioning and dodge timing is a bit more strict on Lilipa. Plus, while ultimate farming you'll probably end up spending loads of time per run, so braindead farming is just easier on Naverius haha
Couple days ago there were some weird networking issues for me as well, but I'm not on Xbox
In a couple ultimate runs, the game lagged and froze the same way as if I was about to get disconnected, but it just stayed in that lagging position for a few min. Then everything started going back to normal and 7 of the 12 people left the run haha including two of my friends that say they got disconnected.
This happened twice that day
My friend swears by Tech C Parry, and I totally agree lol. With a bit of practice in good positioning, you can get your techs off pretty easily against most things. Hunter's Physique is nice, but I'd learn to rely on that ring haha since there may come a time where a Hu sub isn't as good.
A good positioning trick for melee techters is dash attack after zondeel (dash to a better/safer spot, then attack in the enemy direction) so you can get some good thwomps in for another zondeel cycle. Actually, I guess it's not really even a trick, more like a survivability maneuver lol
I totally get you with regards to the aggressive/childish behavior part. While I haven't personally had such experience in this game, I know a few that have had their bouts with elitists, trolls, and others lol
Let's not forget, however, that it's really just some person with a little too much time on their hands on the other side of the screen. It's not like they can attack you directly haha. Sure it may hurt a bit at first, but it's something to be expected from an online game
Just walk away from that nonsense--like, what are they gonna do, message you to death?
We've all been there haha I dunno anyone who doesn't upgrade at least their weapons though... I can't imagine that this is a common thing? especially in XH urgent quests.
but ya, XH Luther is a pretty easy duo--you don't even need "good" gear lol. Last we tried, I played Bo/Su and had rays with only +100 melee and +8-11 pp each (+35 slave dual and nem boots, no notable affixes), and my friend used Saiki with I think like +150 or more tech and stuff.
I'm a pretty casual player, so I've only affixed one good weapon for Br, but I always jump around classes while my friend only uses her crazily affixed wand and thwomps haha. I'm pretty sure most people grind their weapon to at least +30, cuz it'd be pretty hard to work towards a 13* with like an ungrinded Deo...lol
Gonna be a nerd and compliment your formatting, grammar, phrasing, etc. because that made it an easy read lol
Regarding the matter at hand, I really do agree we should all just try to enjoy what we have for now and get along, and that comparing the two versions of the game has really done more bad than good. However, even with PSO2 NA as my only real experience with the game, I still feel like there's nothing to do except grind ultimates or casino coins nowadays; so while I don't have that "missing content" feeling, I definitely have that "wow, there's really not much to do in this game" feeling
And even then, I'll only get a drop once a week in ultimates if I'm lucky haha
lol did you just say "testicular fortitude" ngl, gonna be hard to sympathize with someone that references another person's genitalia in an insult. Especially since I've been victim of the exact same situation with actual trolls several times haha
Anyway, party leader can always force all members into a new run even while they're looting or not yet on gateship, so I don't see why you were kicked. I've met my fair share of impatient people a while ago, but nowadays in random parties, my party leaders wait for everyone to return to ship before initiating a new sequence.
Unless it's a once-only quest, in which case if it's already completed the party leader can leave without forcing everyone back to lobby, right? lol
Because you can still be forced into a new run, no one should be kicked for being a slow looter. Missing drops because you're not yet used to the menus or forgot to store stuff from the last run is punishment enough imo haha
and it doesn't actually add them to blacklist lol
The NA version has a blacklist function? Since when?
Dunno if it even works anymore, but it was a really bad way to totally ignore people haha. If you whispered /bl to someone it would add them to your blacklist, and you'd never be able to see any of their messages ever again. It was really only good to use on bots imo because it seemed permanent lol...y'know, since we have no way to access this blacklist
They've def been getting worse, I saw one spamming while running towards Franca's on an unpopulated block haha
A bit unrelated, but does whispering /bl not work anymore? I used to just do that to the bots since I heard reporting them doesn't do much and it was a quicker fix to stop seeing their message spam, but now it doesn't seem to work. It just quite literally whispers /bl to them now, and it doesn't actually add them to blacklist lol
For some urgent quests I'll join a random party, but I'd be lying if I said that I did so with little to no reluctance haha. It's hard to trust people nowadays, and I've had the unfortunate experience of getting kicked from Magatsu after getting yelled at for going for left shoulder first instead of right--which I'm pretty sure most people do? Anyway that just taught me to stay in block 1 lol
I was kicked from a VHAQ yesterday simply because I did not use a launcher. I'm 75/75 FoTe with a +30 Psycho Wand and full +10 Brissa, everything having about 4 decent augments (casting, spirit, stamina, mastery, soul, etc). Definitely room to improve, but it's a VHAQ where we will one hit everything anyway, and I got kicked... for not using a launcher.
I've been seeing so many people with stock, ungrinded launchers recently haha. I haven't played much of the VHAQ's this time around, but during the last ABR partied with loads of people, even Force players hittin 1-3k with their launchers when I'm sure maybe a Gizonde woulda helped out a bit more. Doesn't help either when they think they can just sit in the corner of every spawn and just hope a PSE burst would magically appear haha
Dunno about "everyone," but my friends have all quit because of issues regarding installation--I don't mean to sound like I had a lot of friends lol but the few that started the game with me couldn't get the game to work consistently, even with the tweaker. Anyone making the tweaker seem like a universal remedy is ill-informed. My buddies are no strangers to the inner workings of Windows either, so I can understand why the install/uninstall issue would get some people to quit.
Personally, I've also been playing less and less each day haha. I made some friends and it was fun farming with them, but they haven't gotten on recently and I bet that has had an impact on my willingness to play as well. It also doesn't help that the extremely small chance of actually getting a nemesis/slave weapon to drop and selling it will only help you with a fraction of the cost of buying any new fashion items…and this is coming from a male character's perspective haha we only need to worry about accessories since the outfits barely cost a dime.
There hasn't really been anything driving me to play the game after maxing classes and skill points, and that was after the last ABR event a while back. I mean I'll get on for maybe an hour or two of ultimates after work if I feel like it or maybe if a good urgent quest is up, but as of right now, the only consistent fun I really have with the game in its current state is Black Nyack.
My buddies and I all have our fair share of stories from getting kicked from parties lol
A couple of my friends got kicked because of auto-chat this morning, and yesterday I was removed from an ultimate run just so the party had a slot for an alliance member. I wasn't even given the chance to join a different party via beacon--just instantly kicked back to lobby D'8
I'm really just complaining about how the party system works haha I get it if you only want certain people in your parties instead of a random. We've all been there. However, getting sent back to the lobby so easily is such a dumb mechanic lol
Set your party to alliance members only, or stipulate "no auto chat" in the description or something like that. It isn't hard to ask someone to disable their auto chat, and it only takes a few clicks to disable anyway. My friend is a nice gal, and she was so sad when someone said "your autochat is so cringe" before they kicked her from the party.
