@Ilúvatar "Some classes have a very difficult time with this requirement." - I don't know about that. Since the current expert requirements have been implemented, we've gained hugely powerful tiers of gear (and even gained a new difficulty level, Ultra Hard) - so being tasked with clearing two Extra Hard quests, with even baseline15* weapons (which were recently buffed, I might add) isn't exceptionally difficult provided you have a grasp of your class's invincibility/guard frames and understand which situations to use your various offensive options in.
And, well, at the end of the day it's entirely optional. You can just not get expert, and you are still able to queue up for all of the same content, just in non-expert queue.
Most importantly, you don't actually expect Sega JP (who's clearly running the show on PSO2 NA) to create a new party finder system unique to the NA release, right? This game has been out for 8 years and they've not created such a thing yet, I'm quite doubtful they would choose to do so now.
I agree, I just wanted to clarify this post so that someone new to summoner doesn't get a false idea that they should go Su/Br. Just trying to prevent misinformation.
This post is rather incoherent and misinformed. "Summoner needs HP and def until lvl 85 Alter Ego" - Maybe, but Braver Subclass doesn't have additional defensive skills to help achieve that.
"Advanced class Phantom needs a Dex Mag" - Hm, not really. Either Tech or Dex is equal regarding your damage output on Summoner with Phantom Subclass. Dexterity is marginally better from a defensive standpoint but not enough to matter a great deal.
So, you could easily just go Su/Fi with a Tech mag to be prepared for Su/Ph.
Something along the lines of this: https://bit.ly/3bXzMIa
Switch Strike to take advantage of Fighter's 200 Melee power, Adrenaline for easier Shifta upkeep on your pet, and Brave Stance as your main damage.
Producing good damage as Summoner is gonna come down to how well setup your pets are in terms of their stats, leveling them up, and what Sweets they're equipped with. Regarding what pets to focus on, Jinga is a great mobbing option, Synchro is a great option for bosses.
I would check the item drop records on a bunch of the SH AQs to see if any drop an 8-10* Jinga. Afraid I don't know which one drops it exactly.
@hAZE-1561 Yeah, when Running a Mel-built Su/Fi on NA, absolutely run Might Cookies instead of Casting cookies, like Andrl said.
@coldreactive Synchro's level at 9* caps at 75 rather than 60 (a bunch of free hp/def you're missing there), and this problem could easily be lessened with Steadfast Roll + Last Minute Roll (I'm not sure right now about the NA names.) Did your synchro have it's pet plus stats (hp?) capped out? Are you making use of Synchro Kick to avoid damage?
@coldreactive That's kinda misleading, if anything it's the best way to deal with bosses (even solo). You can use Kick to dodge the really hard hitting attacks and occasionally heal it otherwise and be alright. Worst case scenario it might die and you'll need to swap to a second Synchro.
@AndrlCh Yeah, at the end of the day the placement of the final couple SP shouldn't matter too much. As long as people are on Su/Fi instead of Su/Gu then I'm down.
