@Jamesmor There actually is at least one UQ that prohibits returning to the gateship after death.
Converse with fellow players
Example: please tell me how tf i'm not supposed to take any damage and counter and do damage during stage 2 of the latest extreme quest when there's 4 bosses all attacking me at once. Please show me footage of someone accomplishing such a feat. I'll wait.
Dodge into the nearest attack and use the Starfire Squall counter. It's got iframes throughout the whole thing, hits hard, and pierces. Haven't tried it yet, but you might even be able to dodge cancel it into itself. If not, just time it normally. The hard part is weaving your normal rotation into that. If you're getting attacks tossed at you from every direction constantly, you can just rely fully on counters.
Has anyone done the calculations on comparative DPS if you alternate getting smacked by an attack and countering the next one? Like if the enemies attack at the perfect speed to pull that off with zero downtime, are you doing better or worse than other classes using their options with the same timing?
This is a random Gu/Fi Rondo. I skimmed the video, and there are points at which the player gets hit, and this is on a class which has one of the biggest mobility/aerial/dodge tools comparatively. The player is also not playing from under 50% hp, because it isn't necessary. Just because it would be optimal to "not take lifesteal or sustain" and play from <50 because it gives you Deadline Slayer or something stupid. Knowing when the conditionals you have are not feasible or needed for what you're doing is part of knowing the class.
That video actually is an example of optimal play. Perfectionist is the larger boost when compared to the x-line Slayer skills, so eating and healing off hits that don't pass the 75% and 20% in x seconds thresholds is what you want to do if it lets you keep shooting. It's actually a direct reinforcement to your argument that you don't have to dodge literally everything to be optimal. Uptime>unrealized potential damage after all.
Is that one of the special outfits for NA release in the OP? You'd think we'd at least get a proper description for the gear that was created to celebrate this server opening, or at least have both sides with no description. That's just mind-boggling.
I'm not sure if this one is a translation error or just plot inconsistency. After clearing EP5 Chapter 2 'An Enigmatic Assault', or somewhere around there, NPC dialog with Xiera changes again. She says that Gettemhult and Melfonseana died this time. Problem is, they don't actually die until like 4-5 missions later, and the conversation changes one cutscene mission right after that. So it's either a plot error carried over from the original, or I'm guessing that the conversation is actually about how the originals we knew were already dead. EN text
Episode 5, Chapter 1, The End of Lutz. 'They exists to be OFFERINGS!'->'They exist to be OFFERINGS!' EN dub has the correct line, so a text change will fix it.
Incidentally, there's also a portion right before this where Luther says 'Let's not get violent with my sisters now, hmm?' when referring to Lutz trying to attack Hariette. EN dub voice goes along with the plural though, which is a bit confusing since IIRC Japanese nouns are usually nonspecific on single/plural but people in specific have a 'plural-ish' form which is not used in this case. Plus I have no idea if Alis could later be revealed to be related to Hariette and Luther or not.
@Kurumi-Tokisaki The dub has more voiced lines than the original? That's an unvoiced lobby convo with JP voices on. I'll switch it over to check tomorrow.
Edit: Checked it, the conversation isn't voiced. It's one of the ones where they say a short phrase at the start of the entire conversation. Specifically, Xiera just says 'uh oh' for the English dub. In Japanese she just kind of whines. There actually is a voiced one that seemed kinda fishy that I might have mentioned in my thread in suggestions though. That one is kinda ambiguous though, even if it turns out it was a mistranslation, since the game never actually indicates what you said.
I'm pretty sure this is a mistranslation. Speaking to Xiera at the bridge after encountering Luther in Omega. Just normal NPC conversation. I believe the mission that updates the conversation is 'Luther!' in chapter 1. English
I went and punched it into a few machine translators and they all agree with my rudimentary knowledge that 行きたくなくなりますshould be 'don't want to go' instead. If anyone who's actually confident in their Japanese could weigh in, that would be helpful.
