Because when you change too much stuff and just wanna go back to default on say, Audio or something you have to redo literally 'everything' and then change it all back one by one.

i havent updated some of my keybinds in years oon jp cuz of this. was even worse for the year i was stuck on ps4 ( i dont know japanese lol my phone was my best friend)
