I recently as in 20 minutes ago I purchased a 1 month material storage from the SG shop and a 3 month extended storage which in both cases did not activate and it says that I have 1 month of extended storage when I used the material storage and the 3 month extended storage gives me the response that it is expired and is just in my inventory now. I hope I can get this issue fixed and it was a stressful occurrence.

that happened to me before with my extended storage while active, try to reloging in the game it did solve it for me

When you purchase those items, they will appear in your inventory under the "consumable " tab. Activate them from there. Also, for specific instances like this you should submit a ticket via the support menu above.
