Pro guide to save up meseta and SG!

Greetings fellow ARKS,

I noticed many people claim the game has predatory mechanics, or requirements for lots of resources to enjoy fashion. Even worse with SG and SG scratch! So I decided to make a guide on how to make the most of your currency.

Step 1: Create a male cast. Step 2: Play only as a mech. Step 3: Find yourself with barely anything to spend meseta on, thus saving up tons of money out of lack of male cast customization. Step 4: Find yourself with absolutely NOTHING to use SG on. Not SG scratch, not Fresh Finds, not Fresh Finds randoms(There was 1 cast male set ONLY since the game was released).

Extra: You even get to save up some weeks because Cast male gets absolutely no costumes added quite often. So far we had 7 weeks of nothing added for this race specifically in AC scratches. So that makes us save up even more money!

What are you waiting for? Make a male cast, save your wallet.

I know this is jest, but I’ll just leave this here I’m case someone is looking for a guide on farming SG:

Ways of farming SG:

Putting AC scratch clothes on all your chars, it basically works out to 10 SG per char, per day, so for the 3, free chars you get that’s 30 a day, and more of you pay for extra chars. This may seem like a big investment but normally get a lot of mesta back when you sell them on afterwards.

Titles give a ton of SG, just go through the list and see what you can earn here are some of the best ones. S ranking Story missions on hardcore, getting each class to lvl 80, earning the bonus SP for each class, taking a 13* weap for each class to +35, and lookbook likes.

PvP gets you 100SG a week, and a bonus depending on where you finish each month

Casino gets you 40SG a week, for 11,700 coins, this sounds like a lot but get 4 players on mesta shooter on silver, and you can earn this in about an hour.

Running the weekly TA Runs, if you finish high enough you get SG for both solo and group times

You get 60SG a month just for logging in

You get around 40SG every PSO2 day

Theirs always random campaigns going on that give SG makes sure you meet all the requirements for those

If your premium you get 200SG a month from mission pass, and another 60SG from login stamps, and extra SG on the premium exclusive PSO2 on the 22nd.

This is a bit random, but doing the 3 daily recommended quests can get you SG. They drop bonus keys, Magatsu Silver which is 10SG and Magatsu Gold which is 30SG

By the way, it's not a jest. Everything I said is real and can help save up tons of meseta and SG. I currently have 12k in my account.

Nice. Is that monthly?

400SG? Weekly.

Yeah the 400SG, you get 400SG a week from challenge mode?

Thank you. I feel that wholly misleading topic titles shouldn't even be permitted.

That's a pretty good list too. If I might extend it a little:

  • The weekly CC cost of the 40 casino SG is 11,200, no? 1,000 x 1 and 1,700 x 6.
  • A reference for how much SG you can get from various rankings is available on swiki. I do want to get around to providing this information on arks-visiphone sometime so it's more easily accessible.
  • Both PSO2 day and PSO2 premium day give two 22 SG tickets, so 44 SG each day.
  • In case anyone mistakenly believes otherwise: You can get multiple Magatsu bonus keys from recommended quests in the same day. So if your first recommended quest gives one, still do the other two.

You can get up to 1000 SG per week from challenge mode, and the scenario for that is only slightly more unreasonable than the 400 SG one.

Realistically you're looking at 60 SG per week if you stick to Decision as the quick one (about an hour total plus potential party forming time), or 120 SG per week if you include Strike (about three hours total). If you're limited on time the extra two hours are better spent in the battle arena.

Up to 400SG. I got 310SG last week.

It's not misleading. I wrote a guide to reduce meseta/sg consumption and there isn't a single lie anywhere on the title or the body. And it's a save up guide, not a gain guide.

@Shirokami07 said in Pro guide to save up meseta and SG!:

It's not misleading [snip] there isn't a single lie anywhere on the title

A "Pro guide" is written with the subject as the focus, rather than as a façade.

Considering the first reply started "I know this is jest" and I'm the only other respondent, can you state with any sincerity that a typical reader would click on a topic with this name and expect it to focus on the availability of CAST parts?

It's not a focus on avaibility of cast parts, it's a focus on saving meseta and SG.

Being a Cast is just the method to reach the result of saving up. I'm sorry, but it seems like an intentional misunderstanding to me.

@Shirokami07 said in Pro guide to save up meseta and SG!:

I'd like to point out that the three things that I want from the Mother's Disciples SG scratch and have been publicly lamenting not pulling any of them in 55 pulls so far (which had an overall 19% chance of happening) are, in order:

  • Mother Battle: Second Half
  • * Laevateinn
  • * Thor's Hammer

In fact, my secondary list of three items I'll probably need to give up on now because I haven't received any of those either (and after 55 pulls, the chances of receiving none of the six overall were just 3%!) are:

  • Aratron Angry Moustache
  • Mother Corps Insignia Circle
  • 361: Mother Corps 5

So as a rather obvious question: If my main character had been a male CAST, can you tell me why that would have magically made me not want any of these? Not one of them is clothing.

Would Phantasy Star Crew back before December 2017 have thought "there's a good chance the game will get a global release more than two years in the future, and Miraglyth might play a CAST in that, so because we value his future robot preference so much we'll reward him by taking the boss music from Phantasy Star II out of SG Scratch and sticking it in FUN scratch instead" ?

Honestly the two things seem about as unrelated as you can get.

@Miraglyth

..Man you must be a riot at parties. The topic was a joke, I don't see any issue with the TC creating a silly satirical joke poking fun at the fact that Male Casts have the fewest cosmetic options in the game.

Dial back the "This isn't appropriate or permitted" nonsense. It was a joke, take it as such. Anyone who read the first post in the topic is going to be able to plainly see that this was a joke, and wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

@Blade-Syphon said in Pro guide to save up meseta and SG!:

Whoosh...

Clearly I'm aware of this. Sadly the only really funny thing about Shirokami07 complaining about CAST parts once again is their comical insistence that this topic isn't a joke.

And while I'm not inclined to call a user out for whining (and given my history I'm in a bit of a greenhouse on that one), I can take that claim at face value. Which in turn means I need point out that the supposed guide is flawed and actually pretty useless for my purposes.

Joke’s aside, emotes will drain your wallet no matter what you play. All of those sweet dance moves are worth it, though.
