after breaking the red crystal from a boss kill, a mesata dropped that wouldnt be picked up. It's usually picked up automatically, so you cant even select it, but when i walk over it i constantly get pinged with the "inventory full" sound that i'm sure most players are familiar with.

this is me standing on said mesata and it isnt being picked up nor can i select it.

This happens when the inventory IS actually full in some cases. SG for instance is counted as an actual item when retrieving it from title rewards/etc. as actual SG (and not a ticket item.)
