Does it do more than just guarantee the special stat is at least II? Why does it cost so much more?

@Jamesmor said in What is the purpose of Enhanced Appraisal?:
just gives a better effect than the normal appraisal
like, how better? like any guarantees?
normal appraisal gives around 3% bonus with the effect you choose, enhanced gives 7% bonus

that's what I was asking, is it JUST that? because regular appraisal can roll II and III on that too.
Enhanced Appraisal can also increase the level of the Augments on the Weapon (going up to V), in addition to giving you a higher grind, and a higher chance of a Mark Augment, compared to a normal appraisal. For Weapons under 13* it also increases the Element and Grind Cap.
In general, it is not really worth the price (50 times the normal Appraisal cost), especially if the Weapon is under 13*.

That's what I was looking for. Thanks for the info. Still, if you even hit one V or IV on 5+ affix on a major stat you've usually struck gold, especially if there's a mark on there too... Might need to experiment to see if it can be profitable on lower stuff/as augment aid.
