I was just reminded about how in the OG PSO there were a few alternate lobbies like how the Challenge or PVP lobbies look, but instead of a new play mode we have just a different lobby design/layout like how PSO2 used to look back in the day see here
And maybe also do a soccer field for a few blocks, or a race track with Rideroid or AIMs to race around in.
Give the lobby Warriors a change of scenery lol
Also, the original had seasonale lobbies around the holidays as well if not mistaken.

PSO2 Global has done season lobbies and special event lobbies. The only one they did so far that was on Global was the summer lobby, I think (It was PSO2 NA before the Steam launch, where it was rebranded as PSO2 Global).

I've seen the Sonic statues around that time though it wasn't very thematic, overall still very cool.

yeah, in late June through July, they had an Independence Day and Christmass in July theme on PSO2 NA and then in August they had a Summer themed lobby in PSO2 Global. The Independence Day and Christmas in July one had a Statue of Liberty in place of the fountain with Christmass Trees lining the path down to where the concerts are. The Summer one mostly just had water slides you could ride from the top of the Shopping Plaza.
A lot of Seasonal Lobbies which were present in PSO1 and PSU are also present in PSO2 though from datamines, which go back all the way to the game's launch in 2012 and included the Independence Day event, we might be getting some more exclusive Seasonal Lobbies...
Special non-season lobbies seem like a kind of large change that I wouldn't expect to see since it's not in JP, but in a similar vein I think it'd be nice to see different lobbies suggested for different types of gameplay, like they apparently are in JP. Not sure exactly what kinds of gameplay they have listed over there, but I assume it's stuff like newbie focused / experienced focused / casino focused / social focused / etc, which would be nice to see on our blocks.
