If they lift the censorship and height restriction I will quit the game!

So you're pro censorship and don't want freedom of expression or to experience things the original developer intended?

To be fair, censorship is not always a bad thing. Remember when a bunch of children watched Pokemon and had seizures?

People get too absorbed in feeling persecuted to look at the bigger picture with these things.

@Alevity Removing censorship is not adding softcore porn into the game. Also, no one deserves being banned for anti-censorship. Feedback has appeared to have work and the SG Scratch extension supports that thought. I will keep using it as proof that feedback does work.

This guy said the deleted scenes aren't softcore porn lmfao

Ultimatums are never effective.

Kids with seizures should not be watching content with flashing lights, that is their own parent's fault.

@Alevity Because they aren't. If they were, they couldn't be shown on youtube. If they were, this game would have an AO rating, because there are files for those scenes in the game files. The various youtube videos on them have shown this. Anything within the game's files constitutes as part of the game's content, regardless of whether or not it is accessible in game or not. This was established by GTA San Andreas and its Hot Coffee Mod, a game that did get re-rated due to the discovery of sex scenes within the game's files despite not being accessible in normal gameplay.

@Alevity I never said anything about you needing any education. I am simply bringing up things to support my position; that is standard in a debate. I don't really care if you are impressed or not, and I have met people who do not realize this so there can be other readers. Also, the PR would not kill the game; if that was the case, many other media would not have done well in the west. Uzaki and Shield Hero got plenty of negative reactions on Twitter and social media from some people, but that actually made them more popular.

The game would not suffer in anyway if it went uncensored.

It wasn't anybody's fault. They didn't know that it would trigger an epileptic episode. Those kinds of effects had been used all throughout the 80s and 90s up until that point, so there was no cause for alarm until the event happened. The censorship of that episode later was two-fold in recovering their reputation and also preventing it from happening ever again.

@Kurumi-Tokisaki ...

SEGA JP has been the one forcing and deciding all ther "censorship". no one else but the creators. Nobody is forcing nobody, in fact, loli/shota ero kawaii fans are actually forcing the creators of the game to not change the few things they decided they wanted to pull out more than anythin.

@Gamers-are-so-oppressed said in If they lift the censorship and height restriction I will quit the game!:

I think it says a lot about the game when the only thing constantly being posted or commented on in the official forums is the censorship.

No, it says a lot about the people, but not about the game.

No one knew it was going to happen but according to your logic they should of kept it the same "to experience things the original developer intended".

@Dragon-Cloud Well you also have to consider what potential factors lead them to that decision. I believe that it was due to a fear of public outcry; to me that is the most likely reason. Part of why I sent feedback on this is because I believe they don't need to fear public outcry.

People like you are so annoying. You think I need to be "educated" because I disagree with your dumbass decision? I'm not impressed but your little "history of GTA" aside, everyone knows this. You're not smart because you can say shit everyone knows. It doesn't even help your point at all. This is a cringe scene that is better off taken out the game. You don't even understand the PR Sega would get if they officially announced putting this back into the game specifically. They would literally kill the reputation of this game.

So why is it okay for other games with lewd elements that make mad bank like FGO exist? Normies already know how lewd anime games can be, but it doesn't stop them from making tons of money. You don't think investors know that it's an untapped market in the west? You could make super-lewd outfits, yet that didn't stop them from getting deals with 7-Eleven, Donki, Shimamura and Lawson.

Also if the scenes are cringe, you might as well take out the entirety of Episode 4 with it as the bathing scenes are the least of that episode's worries with how "cringe" that episode is.

Anime with lightning bolts and flashes during combat with all the flame attacks? Seriously, if you let your kid with seizures watch that you're doing bad parenting and CPS needs to be called.

@Kurumi-Tokisaki You're really missing the point lol

EDIT: Why are we talking about Pokemon anyway? lol I get the analogy, but it's not comparable to this situation.
