Height Restrictions, Remove or Stay?

It's basically like talking to a brick wall.

As if both sides haven't been brick walls since forever....

@ApollosAmour if you want the censorship to stay, why don't you openly say without invalidating the opinions of others according to your very personal sense of justice? You are wasting your time, and based on your overall posts you are acting like a troll, so if you like to play this "game" instead of PSO2, well, it's not a good thing to do.

I know it's not a good thing to say in a forum, but I invite you to stop writing in the threads about our battle on the removal of censorship, because by now we have understood your motivations, it is not necessary to comment again and again going against everyone. Not to mention the fact that this was supposed to be a survey thread that you needed too, but sadly you and your friends invalidated it.

It was never intended to go against you, but unfortunately you and the other 2 folks are exaggerating. I'm new here, I have seen a lot of locked threads and I am afraid to discover that the cause has always been you.

You know, those arguing for censorship, are starting to remind me of those on Twitter that got bent out of shape over Uzaki Chan. They claimed she didn't have a real woman's body proportions, which was later debunked by a Jappanese cosplayer, and several others on Twitter called anyone who liked her character the P word, even though her character is written to be well over 18, and she's also an animated character. What kind of mental gymnastics do you have to go through, to even have these ridiculous thought processes is beyond me. Lines right up with short equating to a child, or arguing that characters can't be the age the individual player sees them as, as this is a Role Playing Game. The entire point of an RPG, is to create your own character from the ground up. A character that is not real. Ten years ago, this would have been a non issue. Ten years ago, people weren't so deluded, as to not be able to draw a distinct line between reality, and fiction. I blame social media, and it's brainwashing/gaslighting.

Don't act like this isn't a huge issue in japan and that it isn't met with controversy and disgust. I'd add a content warning, but anyone that should read this string of translated twitter posts already have normalized shotacon and lolicon in their heads.

Edit: To clarify since I'm sure most people that click that will glaze over the details, but even the person that wrote the manga linked in those tweets refers to shotacon as being sexually interested in young boys. The word has not 'evolved' beyond this meaning like so many of you are howling about otherwise.

@IAMCRAIG-0 When I say shota or loli, I am not saying shotacon or lolicon. There is a difference between saying loli/shota and saying lolicon/shotacon.

They're literally the shortened version of those words.

@IAMCRAIG-0 They are not, at least not anymore. I have seen plenty of people use those terms in nonsexual ways, purely to describe a character as looking incredibly youthful. People have been using loli/shota without meaning lolicon/shotacon for quite some time. Not to mention, the words lolicon and shotacon are generally used to describe the people who are sexually attracted to lolies and shotas.

Also, you are literally nitpicking on the terms people are using to say little girl and little boy without any regard to what they are trying to say. I find this incredibly disingenuous as you are essentially implicating people who use those terms with the crime of sexualizing children when they are just using them to say small female or small male.

When people are saying that they want to make loli/shota characters, that does not mean they want to sexualize the character.

I'll refer to one of my previous posts:

My first 5E D&D character I described her as a loli elf wizard, and no one thought I was sexualizing her, absolutely no one. Not a single person alienated me for using those terms and not a single person thought I was sexualizing children.

So no, loli and shota do not automatically mean lolicon or shotacon and using those terms in no way normalizes child pornography. Otherwise, me referring to my fully clothed, from head to toe, loli elf wizard in D&D was somehow normalizing child pornography despite the fact that if someone did try to assault her, they'd get disintegrated.

My first Tera character was an Elin Lancer, and I referred to her as an armored loli. No sexualization, she was fully armored, minus a helmet since Tera didn't really have helmets for elins.

My second character, whom became my main, was an elin reaper, and I refered to her as loli Kratos due to the reaper's scythes reminding me of the blades of chaos from God of War. Again, no sexualization; I covered her up. She had a skirt sure, but most elin outfits had skirts.

I referred to my elin characters as loli's on a regular basis but never once did I sexualize them and people knew what I meant when I said loli.

The fact is that those terms can be used in non sexual manners. When people say they are looking to make loli or shota characters in PSO2, that does not automatically mean they wanted to sexualize their characters.

and more important....a short girl = loli...its because she is short and looks young...if somebody says "i want to create a legal loli" means hes creating a character who looks small and young but is in fact mature it does in no way mean hes creating a sexual szene with a mature loli wich is called lolicon...but ya there are some really sick people who enjoy watching teen lolicon or worse - its sad to see these people coming on to the forum and force their fetish and sick fantasy on guys who are against censorship while being hypocrites in the fight for being pro censorship

the short form of lolita is loli - a lolita is refered to a "kindfrau" in germany wich is translated into "child woman" - so calling a women "loli" in germany is to tease her because shes being short and looks young...i have no clue on what planet youre living to refer "loli" automatically to child porn....what stuff are you watching on the internet to come to that conclusion...no i dont want an answer to that

That's incorrect. The con is a suffix that reference those that consume and enjoy the media. The term loli/shota is just used to reference a characters appearance.

But like I mentioned in the other other thread- this post is meaningless. It's one persons opinion- has nothing to do with PSO2- nor PSO2s community. Nor is a statistical analysis of anything(which there has been on this subject plenty- so not sure why you wouldn't use those- and instead searched for a recent thing that you thought would help your narrative- which it doesn't)..

Really just entirely pointless for the topic at hand.

Remove because things should be experienced the way the original developers intended them to be and also because this game is already rated M, doesn't need to be 'any' censorship.

This post is deleted!

@Echo-Chamber Your getting blocked and reported for spam. You obviously made this account to troll, because you can't debate using logic or reason.

Those for censorship, are further devaluing their own argument. It screams volumes of who they are. The ones that normally wouldn't care, but are siding with those that want censorship, should take a good look around at who has consistently been severely immature, and causing issues on the forums. Those people are the real issue, as they have no real argument to back censorship and they know it.

I personally couldn't care less about accusations "pedophilia" with wanting to have short characters, it's utter nonsense.

This change doesn't effect me at all I'm fine with my characters height, but it feels bad playing a censored game. If it did actually affect my character creation, I wouldn't be playing. People should be free to customize characters however they wish. If the min height in jp is okay in jp, it's okay here. Are jp players pedos for having minimum height characters?!? Are jp devs pedos for allowing jp players to have the minimum height? ._.

I just want a english version of jp. ;-;

@Kurumi-Tokisaki If the changes are rolling out from the Japanese team (which I remember hearing they are), then isn't that still the way the creators intended?
