Terrible and toxic people making the game terrible for others?

It doesn't matter what online game you play, there will always be people that come off as abrasive, but you will also find, they don't speak for everyone. There are still good people who play the games too

@Dragon-Cloud You're not too far off there lmao Just replace "men" with "men pretending to be little girls and busty women".

Im on ship 3 and have yet to see toxic players. I been playing since pc launch.

Have you been to block 69? LOADS OF TOXIC PEOPLE /s ...Oh wait no actually not really except for those on the forums here.

I've maaaaybe had a few run ins with people before I stopped playing but I simply blocked them and moved on.

This. It's extremely easy to avoid people in the game. If someone doesn't clash with you, just block them and you'll most likely never run into them again.

@JuggernautGTX Was there for a long time and here's what I saw.

-People using their Alliances to harass and stalk others twitter accounts and social media to mock them in-game.

-Transphobic symbol arts that used the Trans Pride flag and put "Mental Illness" on top of it.

-Consistent transphobia from prominent users and various slurs relating to that. Alliances such as "Best In Slot" are notorious for this. I remember being told deliberately that what I am doesn't exist and I have "non-existent rights".

-Threats of getting someone banned if the person disagrees with what they're saying, part of the stuff above. People using the report system to attempt to get someone banned and using their Alliance to mass report in hopes the result is in their favor.

-Racism. Abundant everywhere with the N word being tossed around like it's just a common thing you say to people. Also due to that same Alliance above but not just them, just random users openly say all this and no one cares.

-The fighting all the time blocks 1 and 2 is abundant. Everyone is rude and itching to go at it so if you go there eventually you are going to see people really get into it.

@Akakomuma i only know of 1 user being like that who is in the alliance you mentioned....saw him on a youtube video

Woah, I'm dissapointed, I never thought that MMORPG's would be raided by the insane facade of Alt-righters.

Welcome to the internet?

I haven't seen this stuff personally but I'll believe it to an extent, blocks 1/2/69 are cesspools. However, you having direct links to pro-rape pornography in your forum signature really doesn't help your case at all and I think you should remove it since it's not appropriate for this forum.

@Charus

Im not sure i appreciate the way topics like these are written, like its a TOTAL problem for everyone. It is not. And your expectations may be the actual problem overall.

It sucks that you had some issues chatting but on the same note...it comes with the territory. There is no moral law that says anyone has to be nice to you. Its not just PSO, its a 'life lesson' you best learn.

For example, I went into the PSO2 reddit to simply inquire about nemesis drop rates...to say there was a lack of sympathy by MOST people is an understatement. Its 50/50 whether anyone will give a crap about what anyone posts.

But if im not going around saying reddit pso2 people sucks...im kinda not accurate right? It was certain commenters that didn't agree that made the most noise. Its always like that. Anyone that has a bone to pick with your position will do their damndest to make their opinions heard. It is what it is.

Honestly, sounds just like you need to grow up a bit- use the tools at your disposal. Blacklist, change blocks, etc. Do what you gotta do to make a enjoyable gaming experience. People will be people, no amount of complaining will change that, so its on you to rise up to the challenge or exit stage left. Dont left goofs stop you from having fun.

Thats about it, enjoy your gaming.

@ARKHAM-CANNON I definitely think people take it way too far at times, but this is pretty well put.

Outside of lewd Symbol Art, i only saw toxicity ONCE from a guy who was told how to fight Magatsu and he went berserk.

I really have no idea where do people seem to be bombarded by toxicity and fighting in-game. The bots talk far more than most of the playerbase and almost every time i see people talking, it's just random small talk or about fashion.

@Ephemiel It only takes one disagreement for something to blow up. @Akakomuma I seen a lot of that happen, It doesn't help that people take it to twitter, or reddit just to call others out and continue it. Sadly this is the internet, and most people can't be mature about life. You may not like someone for whatever reason, and that is understandable, but there just is no point in bothering to go to war over nothing, especially opinions.

@Lintaur The only problem with that, is it doesn't really do anything. The toxicity is still there, and will affect other people. Let us say that everyone does the same thing, eventually cancer can grow to a lethal point. Though I do agree that sometimes just ignoring it the best option, It doesn't mean it doesn't exist abundantly.

Can confirm this happened to me after I said I was a transgender. But it did not last long since I can ignore it.
