i am trying to move my account from the ms store to steam but the instructions make no sense what so ever can anyone lend a hand?

It is easy, if you have them both installed simultaneously. On the MS Store version, there is an option when you log-in to create a Transfer Code, do it and copy down the code. Then, log-in to the Steam Version. Go through the menu's from the title and it should ask if you want to link an account. Confirm that and enter the code from the MS Store version. After this, the account should be linked to Steam.

also remember that you have a window of 15 minutes to transfer the code, if you don't do it in that time the code will not work and you gonna need to get another one
