Assuming that they distribute them like they normally do, remember that you get one Reset Pass for every character you have, so if you haven't made all three of your free characters, it may be in your best interest to do so before the game goes down tonight, even if they are just generic placeholders that you delete later.

I think you missed the OPs point. He's only referring to the way in which they deal a pass to any already-created character, so that players can take advantage of the system by creating dummy characters.

He's not questioning that pass distribution has ever happened.
