SG only items are too expensive for how much you get (free and paid)

Agreed, the way this game has been treated so far is absolutely absurd and is signaling that the publishers care more for greed than to make their game a quality product.

The fact that I couldn't even launch the game without using a third party program like pso2tweaker is such an absurd oversight and then they go ahead and pull out ways to get SG in NA and then also introduce a more greedy system than JP is outright disgusting.

I spent money on this game because I enjoy it and want to see it succeed.

However, this SG scratch is laughable when you're withholding ways of earning SG in JP version from the NA players, limiting the amount we can earn regularly to try and force us to buy it with real money. No thanks.

You're going to destroy this game with greedy behavior. You could have something more balanced that lasts years and years as a source of income, but nah, you'll just run it into the ground and pretend you don't know why.

Many of us are vocal about this because we care about this game. We don't want to see the NA servers go down the same path as past games in the series. It is worth remembering that the NA servers effectively compete with the JP servers.

SG = Sega's Greed

Shame is I just renewed my premium the DAY BEFORE this wankage got set upon us, I can promise them this right now, until they get something straightened out for this my wallet will be closed to this game. I can live without premium and the benefits it brings. I've already got all my classes maxed and enough storage to make it work. This is honestly predatory, disgusting, and downright a slap in the face to us as far as I'm concerned and I want no part in it whatsoever. Get your act together Sega before you start bleeding actual customers and players. It's like was said before, whales won't support a game with no playerbase, you need the F2Per community and the minor spenders like myself.

It is worth noting that SG works with the exact same mechanics as premium currencies in gacha games like FGO, FEH, and Ark Knights. It is also worth noting that the most successful gacha games are the ones that give out a decent amount of premium currency on a regular basis as doing so makes people more willing to spend money out of good faith. When a f2p game is more f2p friendly, people become more willing to spend money simply out of the want to support you. Good faith goes a long way in the f2p market.

Look at Warframe as an example of good faith doing its work, look at where they started and where they are now. Digital Extremes went from being on its deathbed to having one of the most popular f2p games on Steam and a thriving game with its own annual convention.

Look at what happens when you try to be greedy. At the backlash you get from your players. Is it really worth it to try to squeeze money out of your players when some good faith makes them want to pay you more?

Getting some serious PSU pstd here lol. But jokes aside, everyone's been talking about the issues and differences in earning SG. But one thing that makes this a true deal breaker imo is the thought of items you want never returning. The only case of SG scratch cosmetics returning in PSO2 JP was over a year after the initial release, and it only revived SOME of the items. The fact of the matter is that if Sega doesn't do anything to remedy the situation they caused with this SG scratch it's going to end with some players perma-getting the short end of the stick, and that's a very insulting thought.

There's also something that I have not seen people suggesting; What about upping the cost, but turning the SG scratch into a temporary SG shop like a bigger seasonal version of fresh finds? You could price everything higher, but let the player actually choose what item they want out of the pool of 133. This is something that I see in warframe and destiny, and people absolutely love those systems because it gives them a tangible goal instead of dumping in the hopes of getting a good roll. It's not bad to take a page from your competition's playbook if you benefit in the long run.

You guys can't say that it's because alternative SG methods weren't in pso2 JP during episode 6, we've had summoner and that wasn't a thing in JP til episode 4. Please make some changes, and make them this scratch. If you guys can't fix a problem you created until way way later you're going to lose a lot of trust, respect, and will to keep playing from lots of people.

Because everyone loves Ophiel right?

I mean I wish I had his voice ticket on the Japanese version considering who he's voiced by.

To be honest I'm only really familiar with a fraction of his roles like DIO, Sartorius from Yugioh GX, Disk Wars Deadpool, Biomon, Butch from Pokemon (though I've never heard that one in Japanese, though I haven't heard Arcana from Yugioh Duel Monsters in Japanese either nor Kululu from Sgt Frog, Boris from BNA and that one ahole from the Fairy Dance arc of SAO cosplaying as Oberon, king of fairies whose name I never bothered to memorize, I also don't really remember Clayman in ReSlime) and Roswaal from Re:Zero but the only ones anyone needs to know are Kenshiro and DIO anyway lol.

Maximum Attack G 065... Yep...

I kind of find it rather important to make sure we get the additional SG Sources, especially for material storage. Costumes are just going to go up in price and become more and more of an inefficient method of generating SG, and the material storage is pretty borderline necessary as it really is that much of a QoL improvement.

I mean additional SG methods were in episode 4 shortly after SG came out. Like we literally got SG earlier than JP did, as they didn't get it until EP4. So there is really no excuse to not have at least Casino SG right now. So yeah, honestly, if Sega doesn't fix this problem, they are definitely going to have problems like you say. Just look at what happened with PSO1 and especially PSU... Maximum Attack G...

There is something else Luna. We don't have idola or pso2 mobile in the NA version. I'm just tossing this out there as one of many possible tweaks that can be implemented along with everything that's been said; But because we also lack external means of getting SG that that Japanese version has, I don't think it's out of the question to introduce another means of getting SG that's NA exclusive, or even chopping the price of SG scratch down based on that bit alone.

I think adjusting how much SG the side content gives to make up for the lack of those sources would be a better idea then. That is likely far simpler and easier to do while adjusting prices generally has more complicated math since it can affect many more factors. With adjusting the source, we just need to match the total amount you can earn in a week to JP's.

I actually feel that reducing the price of SG items, according to a percentage calculation comparing how much SG NA players can collect compared to JP in a given amount of time would be a good solution. I mean, if NA players can get only 40% of the SG a JP player can get in the same mount of time, prices should also be reduced to 40% of the JP prices.

Yes, I suppose this may bring other problems that I can't think of right now, but I'm sure some of you will slap my face with them.

I know this would have been worthy of an Angry Rant if Angry Joe found out about the SG Scratch Tickets. And the fact that we can't sell them in the Personal Shop market makes this even more egregious. SEGA needs to make the next SG Tickets half the price of this one until the NA severs catch up the the JP ones and/or make the prizes available for sale in the Personal Shop and tradeable.

The fact that we don't have the Voice Tickets either. So much for this being "ALL THE CONTENT" which is a blatant lie if nothing happens. You advertising that at the reveal and you've BEEN advertising that same slogan in game since the start.

To be fair, they have stated they are working on those. Copyright is tricky when using JP voice actors overseas as they actually own their performance.
